For this 9LP swap, each pocket is to contain part of a dictionary page. It can be used as the background, or a piece can be layered over other paper or media. The key is that one of the words on the dictionary page is to be highlighted, and in some way illustrated, as well.
For instance, the word 'elephant' may be highlighted on a background dictionary page and have a picture of an elephant layered over the dictionary page, or drawn on the page. Or, the background may be an image of runners with the definition for the word 'runner' from the page of a dictionary placed over part of the image. A combination of both may be used for the 9 pocket page.
The actual subject matter - the specific words and images for each pocket - are sender's choice. However, care should be taken so as not to choose controversial or horrific words/images so as not to offend the partner to whom you are sending. You may add embellishments if you wish. The overall look for the 9LP should be fairly harmonious and nicely decorated.
The back does not need to be decorated but should be covered in themed paper or an image (such as a picture from a calendar) so that it looks nice. No extras are required, meaning there is no obligation for adding goodies to the pockets aside from what embellishments you may use to decorate your pockets in the front. Nothing has to be removable or reusable, just an attractive 9 pockets to add to your binder. No letter needs to be added but one of the back pockets should contain a card stating the name of the swap, your name, swap-bot name and the date.
The intent is to have fun creating artistic pockets for your partner's 9LP dictionary page. If there is interest, I will host more dictionary page swaps with specific themes. We might have pages for animals, nature, the ocean, etc. Used dictionaries can usually be purchased at thrift stores for $1 - $2 each.
