About Me

I think I am the oldest in any of the swapbots. I am retired with five grown children with 9 grands. Love the mountains where I live. Worked for years at the telephone company. After retiring went 3 yrs. full time rving around the country then settled down (for awhile at least)

I am a Christian lady, love my country and am very patriotic. By the way, don't get confused. My flickr photo is different than this one because I colored my hair. Vain ain't I? makes me look younger tho.

Favorite Music

Tony Bennett, Bett Midler, Rod Stewart, Jennifer Rothschild. Saw Mamma Mia and Abba is now one of my favorites.

Favorite Movies

Grease, Ghost,Dirty Dancing (I remember those days) old movies with Kate Hepburn and Spencer Tracy.

Favorite Television

CSI, anything mysterious, HGTV of course. any of the crafty programs, Food TV, TCM, Top Chef, Top Designer.

Favorite Crafts

Fabric Postcards, ATC's, Quilting (small) oil painting, watercolors, knitting. My colors in my home are mostly green shades. My clothes I wear are usually blue and I am old enough to wear purple and red.

Likes and ???

I love abstract art or Vincent Van Gogh's work. I love Metropolitan museum of Art in N.Y.C., it is unbelievable to walk thru. Favorite flower is the daisy Favorite colors are blue and green Favorite writer is Jennifer Rothschild and for mysteries Patterson. Nicholas Sparks for romance. Love anything Boston Terrier. Love to get novelty buttons too.

What I dislike

People who commit to a project but disregard it. Cheats, people who say one thing and will do the opposite. Takers instead of givers. Hate ignorance as it is so easy to be swayed by others when you don't know the truth.

My Pets

I have a darling boston terrier that I adore and she is 16 yrs. old this August, Petie, short for Petunia. I have a grey long haired cat Miss Kitty (original huh!) who is 18 yrs. old.

Favorite Crafts

ATC's both fabric and paper. Fabric Postcards, watercolor painting, making dotee dolls (fun). Would love to bead but just haven't had the mood to do it.)Would love to try felting.

Just a note that the only 1 rating I got from a MAN saying I did not send. I did plus extras and he wrote me a personal email about the great composition of my photos. You can tell I am no flaker and wish that "1" would dissappear.

Comment: I love the story of your Aunt & Uncle who were notorious bank robbers. ( most families seem to "not speak of" those "type" of relatives). I wonder who tipped the police off, that they were having their photo taken? Guess we'll probably never know. Thank you, This swap was great fun!
