Description:

The Wacky Days PC swap is a take on the wacky, strange, bizarre holidays swaps, but with postcards. Send your one partner a postcard that fits one of the themes for the week. It is GOOD to be creative: this is for fun!

Week 52 is Monday, December 21st through Sunday, December 27th. And I'm including the last 4 days here too, Dec 28th-31st. But you're still sending by Saturday, Dec. 26th!

Here is a list of Wacky Days:

21 Forefather's Day

21 Humbug Day

21 National Flashlight Day

21 Look on the Bright Side Day

22 National Date Nut Bread Day - or September 8!?

23 Festivus - for the rest of us

23 Roots Day

24 National Chocolate Day

24 National Egg Nog Day

25 Christmas Day

25 National Pumpkin Pie Day for recipes see Pumpkin Nook 's Cookbook

26 Boxing Day

27 Make Cut Out Snowflakes Day

27 National Fruitcake Day

28 Card Playing Day

29 Pepper Pot Day

30 National Bicarbonate of Soda Day

31 Make Up Your Mind Day

31 New Year's Eve

31 Unlucky Day

Not sure what some of these holidays are? Click on the links below and there are clicky links on that website that describes the holiday!

  • one partner, one postcard, naked & written with a nice note and reminds your partner of which day from the list your card represents; it is okay to be a little silly or off-beat with the connection! This is for fun-some of these are strange!

  • all types of postcards acceptable except handmade and free/ad

  • 4.97 rating minimum and international. All 1's should be addressed and in the process of being made up, etc. I will remove participants if needed and I do check profiles during sign up and before assigning partners. I will angel if needed after you've contacted your partner and had to rate them a 1. Contact me if this happens or is happening, if needed.

The list of wacky days I will use consistently is December Holiday so please feel free to browse future weeks for possible postcards to use from your stash. The website does list some normal holidays too, I will include them since I am using that list, but I encourage you to find the wackiest one from your stash each week.

You should rate your partner at least a 5 if they sent on time, and mentioned the wacky day and how it relates to the card. Please remember this is wacky and it is more than okay to be silly with the theme and stretch a bit and think outside the box!! If you only think inside the box this might not be the swap for you!

Thanks for joining me on this wacky journey for the parts of the year it ran! If anyone hosts something similar next year I'd love it if you tell me about it so I can join!

Next year I will do a weekly pc swap for Black & White pcs with a few exceptions or allowables, if you will. To include:

B&W

B&W with pop of color

Browinish&white/tan/creamish

Then & Nows as long as at least the "Then" is b&w, it is okay if the Now is color.

I will post a link here when I set up the first swap for the new year.

Emily that's a great idea. I wish we had more B&W postcard swaps!

Hopefully you can join sometimes! Bookstores and art museums often have nice selections, sometimes national parks have some, then of course amazon, zazzle, some antique stores, etc

I'll try to get the first couple weeks up today/this weekend and I'll put a link hhere too
