This is the second version of the original NKOTB on Swap Bot swap. This swap is a little different though: bigger! So here's the bigger swap we always planned on having: more time to work on your packages, more information to go off of, a higher limit, and hopefully more fun!

  • You will have 1 partner.

  • Cost of the package should be between $20 and $25 US (before shipping). Create a package you would like to receive!

  • If you want to send your swap before December 1st, feel free!

  • Please plan ahead and know when the ship date is coming up! It's before the holiday season, but just and I don't want anyone missing out on getting their package.

  • This swap is open to everyone. I'm trusting that if you are joining in, you just want to share your love of the New Kids.

  • This swap is international.

  • Please fill out the survey that's all the way below in a comment.

Things that must be in the package

  • One NKOTB store bought gift - this can be a new keychain or button or whatever from the NKOTB store/your visit to a concert, something vintage that you bought, something official NKOTB off of ebay, or any New Kids item you can come up with that is an officially licensed piece of merchandise. (I ordered from the store and received my merchandise a week later so there is plenty of time to get something shipped to you if you are not going to a concert). This can seriously even be a pin from the late 80s - it just can't be something you make.

  • One NKOTB hand made gift - this is anything you hand craft! A shirt with a saying or lyric or picture on it, a calendar made out of pictures (I did this for the last one and my partner says she loved it!), decorate a journal with pictures on the cover and throughout, a travel mug where you can personalize the insert, a coffee mug that you can have printed up at a picture kiosk at a mall, make a scrapbook or start one in a binder or journal for your partner to finish, a purse made out of the old bedsheets, a collage of the old trading cards, draw your recipient's favorite kid, or whatever you can come up with! This shouldn't be too challenging even for non-crafty types... just put a little heart into it, and I'm sure it'll be appreciated! And as always, feel free to email me if you need any support or ideas!

  • A Mix CD: there are two ways you can make your CD" 1 - Your favorite NKOTB songs, and then a song that reminds you of that song. For example: track 1 Never Gonna Fall In Love Again, track 2 Bye Bye Bye by Nsync, Track 3 Please Don't Go Girl track 4 Sometimes by Britney Spears - any genres and musicians welcomed! This is just the example I could come up with real quick. This is about sharing music you love.

OR 2 - Pick your favorite NKOTB song (or any NKOTB song) and use that as your "theme". It would be like a fanmix dedicated to that one song. Use the New Kids song you pick as a prompt and come up with 10 or a dozen songs to match that prompt/that are saying something similar.

Whichever you choose, make sure to let your partner know in the liner notes.

  • One ATC: Your favorite song or your partners favorite song: illustrate this song on the ATC. You can use lyrics, pictures, drawings, anything you want!

Things that are optional for the package

  • Optional Additional ATCs: I've seen some phenomenal ideas for ATCs from you guys in emails, comments, PMs... I know I would be grateful to receive any of these creations. Please feel free to share your creativity with your partner!

  • When you get your partner, you will be able to see their email address. This may be a necessity for the next swap, but it's an option for this one. Make something that can't be mailed for your partner: an icon that you made specifically for them, wallpaper, fan art, fan fic... anything you can create and email. Again, this is not a must for this package, but a fantastic extra. If you want to stay anonymous until your package arrives, you can email the extra to me and I'll email it to them.

  • Anything you can think of that your partner might enjoy! We're all fans and sharing is caring! :D

To keep with the theme of this series of swaps, we will be having 1 ATC in this swap.

ATCs are easy and fun, and I'd be happy to help anyone who has never made one before. Basically, there is no wrong way to do it. Since it's art, all it has to be is something you created. It can be a collage or a hard drawing, an embellished image or written out lyrics with something pretty adorning it. As long as it's 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches, you got it right!

I hope the ATC aspect doesn't deter anyone from this swap - and if this is your first ATC and you like it, then you have a New Kids ATC to start off your collection!

Alicia, I too haven't received anything. And the person who was sending to me WAS THE HOST OF THE SWAP! Imagine that. I'm a little bit upset, I gave her the benefit of the doubt and have been very patient, but this is ridiculous now. Especially since she's participated in MANY other swaps since December 1st.
