Description:

I recently made one of these in a private swap and had so much fun! I love how it turned out, so I want to make more!

You will get a small pocket-sized blank journal and will junk it up however you'd like for your partner! You can stamp on the pages, add stickers, tape in things, staple things, make pockets and tuck spots, add fun tabs and tags, anything! I tend to just grab a bunch of junk and stick it all in there somehow, so mine never have any kind of theme. It's whatever goes!

Make sure to leave space for your partner to write or add things of their own. I like to think of these as starter junk journals. I actually use them for writing in.

Also, make sure you do something to each page. It can be something small like a sticker or stamped image, but do something on each page.

Since they're small, we will have two partners. You'll send one journal to each partner. I will give a month to get them mailed.

Must have a 4.95 rating and 20 type 3 swaps completed. If you want to message me about this, I'm happy to consider you if you do not meet these requirements.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Can i make the pocket sized journal? Is there a page requirement?

Missir 09/23/2016 #

Yes, we are using the pocket-sized journals. It says that in the instructions. :) No page requirement, just whatever comes with the journal.

NO, my question is can I make my own pocket sized journal to use for this swap

pcmiminini 09/24/2016 #

What is the exact size of "pocket size"? I googled it, and it seems to be around index card dimensions. Is that the size you are intending?

Missir 09/24/2016 #

@judgedabookbyitscover I'm sorry; I misread your comment. Yes! A homemade journal would be fantastic!

Missir 09/24/2016 #

I would say index card size or smaller.

If making your own what number of pages would you be thinking? I don't really understand what these little journals are so I can't envision if they have 10 pages or 30 or even 50? thanks!

GeeLuv 09/24/2016 #

@missir - by any chance do you have a pic of the one you made so we can see and have an idea of what folks will be expecting?

Missir 09/24/2016 #

Any small journal will do. Think of the small, pocket-sized composition books. Or tablets with spirals on top. Something you would be able to fit easily in a back pants pocket or purse.

So in the book binding world a pocket journal is right around 3" x 5" no more than 4" x 6"

30 - 50 pages

so in my head i'm creating a 3 x 5 with 40 pages..

Missir 09/26/2016 #

That sounds perfect.

Hello - I messaged you bc would like to join but am new-ish...please let me know if I'm "OK" for this one - thanks!

How much space should we be leaving for partners to write? I tend to fill and bulk up my pages so they are fun to view but they aren't exactly user friendly...gimme some guidance. :)
