Need to get out of your comfort zone in reading? Find "read x no. of books" to be too mundane to be a challenge? Looking to try a book in a new-to-you genre? Or looking for an excuse to read a book off your Mt. To Be Read? Every month, we'll explore a different genre by reading a single book and sharing our thoughts with our partner. November's genre is Foreign Classic.

Definition of classic from Merriam-Webster in context of books : something that has been considered to be excellent for a long time. It's open to interpretation, including modern classics, whatever appeals to you. Please choose a book written by an author from a country different than yours. It might have been written in English, or in another language, & you may read the original, or a translation.

Send an email or swap-bot message to your partners with the following info:

Title & author of the book you read Why did you choose this book? A brief summary, of the book A brief review--what did you think of it? Your experience with the genre (have you read a lot? a little? was this your first?) Your thoughts about the genre overall and if this book was a good representation of it, Would you read more of this genre in the future?

I hope nobody will flake, as it is impractical to angel electronic swaps of this nature, for example, if the person who has been flaked on was already my partner too, then s/he already has my book comments!
