Google “Flip book using one sheet of 12x12 paper†Then click on “videos†There are a ton of tutorials on how to make a super easy flip book using one sheet of 12x12 double sided paper.
There are some slight variations depending on who posted the video. Let’s not be picky, so just choose the one you like. Some are square and some are rectangular. Choose the one you like best.
*You will need to use double sided paper for this flip book swap.
*Once you create the flip book, decorate it with anything you like. Such as stickers, embellishments, Ribbon, ephemera. Remember, butterflies are the main theme of course! Not every embellishment needs to have a butterfly on it, but please do use quite a few butterflies :)
*Leave some room on a couple pages for your partner to write or journal on. But do add at least one embellishment per page.
*Tie your book closed with twine or Ribbon before sending it to your partner. You don’t need to secure the Ribbon with glue or tape, just tie it around the book.
*Please add a short note in a pocket for your partner. Make sure to include your user name and the name of the swap. Other things you can add inside the pockets if you like, but not required. Tags, washi samples, Sticker flakes, piece of ribbon, ephemera.
I joined a similar swap like this for Christmas with another group, and I’ll admit I was pretty intimidated by creating my own flip book. Once I sat down to make it, I was so surprised how quick and super easy it was to make. Now I can’t stop making them!
I wish I could include a link or photo of a flip book for y’all, but I can not figure out how to for the life of me. Just google what I suggested and you will find tons of videos. Any questions or concerns, please message me privately.
