Description:

Last time was a lot of fun and had plenty of interest (35 people), so I thought why not keep it going. Super simple. Lots of fun. Low cost. Quick turn-around.

Here is MY original discription (in case you missed it) with just a little bit of editing: I was on hold with one of my local utility companies recently for about 25 min and ended up doodling a WHOLE 8.5x 11 (computer paper) page!! So, I thought that would make a unique and easy swap idea!!!

For this swap you will DOODLE one WHOLE page/sheet of white paper!! Thats it.

You can do it all in one day or it can be a collective effort. It can be with anything and of anything... crayon, Sharpie, gel pens, glitter pen, pencil... whatever. Hearts, swirls... words, whatever YOU normally doodle. Please keep it NON-offensive. Black and white or color added. Its up to you.

This swap IS INTERNATIONAL, because its one sheet of paper and shouldn't be much at all, postage-wise to send. The size of the envelope you send it in is up to you but PLEASE if you fold it, do so neatly and if you use a larger envelope please make it sturdy.

I guess these are a little like "zentangles" but less structured.

Don't think too hard about it. --- Just doodle it!!

Should it be computer paper?

I had so much fun doing this last time...thanks for hosting it again!

It does not have to be computer paper. It does have to be white (so were all starting from the same "canvas").

Thank you!

I loved this the first time around!

To me, doodling means pen or pencil + notebook paper. Anything else and I'm sketching, not doodling. Hope that's ok!

This was fun last time around... and it gives me something actually goal-oriented to do with my doodling!

if you want to conserve paper, use one of those annoying printouts with two words on, and flip it over. I save these expressly for doodling.

Any paper and any writing instrument, is fine. As long as it starts out blank and ends up doodled and is free flowing.... I myself think lined paper gets in the way and prefer to use a sheet from the computer printer and a Sharpie.

since it's so close to Christmas, can we put in Christmas cards with our swap?

MommyKnows 12/ 6/2008 #

YEAH!! I'm so glad you're continuing this swap! I hope you make it a regular series type swap!

*addendum = like I told my swap partner last time... I was looking at her full sheet of doodles and thinking "What shall I do with it?" One can only hang so much on the wall, and my wall space is very little. I thought I'd make it into an envelope and make use of her work! So, now I can send the next doodle inside an envelope made from the last doodle! .... cool, huh??

Done! ^__^ (Actually, since I'm the kind of person wich is totally unable to concentrate, I could have made a hundred...)

Now I'm waiting for my partners to be assigned...
