I love themed mix CD swaps. The theme for this Original Vs. Cover.

You will make two cds. One CD will be of songs sung by the original artist. The second CD will be the exact same songs from the first disc just the cover verison.

Important Notes:

This is an Internation swap. You may have an international partner.

Everyone will have 2 artners.

Both CDs must have at least 15 tracks on it. No more than two songs by the same artist.

Both CDs must include a tracklisting with your mix that lists title and artist.

Both CDs must be burned onto new CD-Rs.

Both CDs must me your own orginal mix. Do not wait for your partner to send a cd and copy it.

Newbies welcome but will be run through a bad swappers list. No more than 1 no send! Please contact me first if you have more than one no send. Or you will be banned no questions asked!!! Sorry but I have been burned on a lot of swaps lately.

Hi I am still a newbie, I hope it is ok to join... I have already taken part in a few swaps and sent off about 3 packages already, so by the close off date I should (crosses fingers) have a rating, hope that is ok :) I am also addicted to cover versions, I have some very interesting ones indeed :)

I don't have problems with newbies because we all have to start somewhere. There are just a few bad swap botters who have been deleting thier profiles and starting new ones just to rip people off...

I'd like arrange my cds with the original and covers of the songs together. I dig listening to the changes that the artists make and it is easier to do this if they're together. Is it okay to modify the organization of the cds while staying true to the intention of the swap?

As a music fanatic, I cannot wait to do this. I have already compiled my lists and I hope I can get all the songs I need for this...some may be too obscure.

Any hints how to package a double feature album? I know trying to find double CD cases is hard. Anyone got any hints or suggestions?

I want to apologize to my current swap partners that I am running a little late. My sister needed to come up immediately to start getting moved in. We've been working three days straight and I have had no time for anything else...even sleep! After work tomorrow, I am dedicating my late afternoon and evening to get caught up. I'm sorry! I hope the special packages I put together for you will make up for it!
