Description:

For this swap, it will naturally be based on the Faery world. You will create a post card (any medium you choose) One partner, one post card.

You will write a note on your postcard from or about the faery world to your partner. Use your imagination...Make it fun!

It will be mailed, so make sure it is made in a way that will not be destroyed by the postal service. Mail it as is. A coat of varnish works great for added protection.

  • EDIT-If you add embelishments, you can use an envelope.

Remember, hand made and postage varies depending on what country it is going to (all less than $1.00)

  • Have fun!!

I love the idea of this one, but for now I won't join any handmade postcards swaps where I shouldn't use an envelope. I don't know what the mail service does, but the last ones I'd received looked as if someone had driven over them. :(

Can we use the clear plastic envelopes? That way you can still see the art postcard, but not have to worry so much about what the postal service does to them. It also makes it easier to add more embellishments.

That's fine to use the clear envelope if you are adding embelishments. If you are mailing as a postcard, a good thing is to add a layer (or two) of clear varnish over it to protect your decoupaged image, drawing, photo whatever.
