Description:

By request, this swap is USA only. You will have just 1 partner. You are only required to send a letter, so lightweight to mail. But you can send more, if you like. New swappers are welcome to join, but only with a very well filled out profile. All swappers need to have a very well filled out profile for this swap, with no late swaps. Note to new swappers - swap-bot assigns partners, so the host does not decide who you will be paired up with. I can't pair you up with a person from a certain state.

This will be a quick turn around swap, so please be ready to send quickly!

Be sure to add the swap name and your swap-bot ID to the letter so your partner can easily rate you for the swap. If you receive the correct length of letter and was sent by the send by date, you should rate your partner a 5.

So, after all that - what is the swap? Once partners have been assigned, look at your partner's profile. The more you have filled out your profile, the easier it will be for your partner to write TO you, rather that just a random letter. So this is a good time to check your profile and be sure it's current and up to date with lots of good info. :)

What do you write? For this swap, you can either hand write or type the letter to your partner, as long as it's a nice personal letter. You should aim for at least one standard size (8.5x11" - ish) sheet of paper, or a similar length in smaller paper. You are not required to use stationery or a matching letter set, but please try to choose paper your partner will enjoy. If your partner's profile states that they love the color purple, by all means, use purple paper. :) You should keep your partner's profile in mind while you write your letter.

If your partner notes a favorite book/movie/music and you are familiar with it, maybe you could discuss what you enjoy about it as well. Maybe suggest something similar that you enjoy. If your partner states a favorite craft, you could tell them about a time you tried that craft.

The aim isn't to make a pen pal, exactly, just to have a friendly chat on paper. If you are both interested in continuing to write letters, you are welcome to arrange that. :) But for this swap, you are sending a friendly, conversational letter to your partner. Any extras or tuck ins are up to you.

If you're asking what a well filled out profile is, when I read through profiles, I ask my self what I would write or send to the person whose profile I'm reading. If I can't come up with some ideas while reading your profile, that's when I decide you need to add to your profile. Whenever possible, if I read a profile that is too short, I PM the swapper to let them know they need to add to it. I don't ban with no comments.

For new swappers - after sign up ends, the host has the ability to click a magic key on swap-bot and the computer bits and bots assign partners. You should, then, get an email saying partners have been assigned. Once you return here to the swap page, on the right side of the screen, you should see an option to 'see partners you send to' and you just click that, a new window pops up with your partners name and mailing address. Once you have written the letter, you will return to the page to click the "click here when you have sent your items' and it will mark it sent in the system. If you click that by accident, you can fix that too.

For all swappers - I will check through all who sign up, and I will remove or ban any who are listed on questionable lists that I have access to, any who have not met requirements. If you have information about any swapper who has signed up, please contact me directly via PM and give me the information. I am happy to learn about any possible problem swappers and use the information to make a final decision.

We are entering holiday mailing season, and I know my mail has been slow lately. However, as this is US only, it should move quicker (let's hope!) If you feel that your letter should have arrived, please nicely contact your partner.

I will angel this swap to any who are flaked on. Please contact me after you have contacted your partner and have rated them a 1.

If you have any questions or concerns, please send me a PM, as I may miss comments left below. Thank you. :)
