What is a Friendship Book? "Friendship books (also known as "FBs" in their abbreviated form) are small booklets made by stapling paper together, or are sometimes just sheets or strips of paper. They are usually decorated and the person who starts the book writes their name and address as the first person sending the book. People often include a list of interests as well. The FB is then passed around from penpal to penpal, and can often also become a way for one to meet new penpals. Most people hope to see the book again once it is full so they add their return address to the back cover of the book too, or inscribe "Return to Sender" on it. People also sometimes make FBs for someone else rather than themselves, in which case they write the name and address of the recipient on the front/at the top. Some people find friendship books fun because you can see where they have been in a trail back to the original sender/recipient."

More info go to kooohkies.com they also have fb covers that can be printed out or use your own. You can use cards, plain paper decorated, etc.

Any questions please ask. If you have flaked on any of my swaps you will not be allowed to participate.

I dont understand this concept....How does it get more addresses in it? Can you explain for me please?

NicoleAnn...it gets more addresses = you sign in it, then mail it to the next person who signs in it, who then passes it on to someone else to sign...when full it goes back to the first person listed on the front. :)

So.............if I understand correctly, you make 10 FB's for each partner; that's 20 FB's total; you then mail 10 Fb's to one patner, 10 to the other; you will recieve 20 FB's--10 from each partner. What do you do when you get these 20 FB's? Where do the addresses to mail to the people to "sign in" come from?
Not to be difficult--I love to creat things--but I reckon I am not "grasping" the concept on this one yet. Watching for clarification. Blessings--Cheri

Nicole - did you check out what a friendship book is? After they have been sent for awhile sometimes they only have room for one name, those are not the type we are sending. We are sending the ones that have room for a few more people to add their info in. Sometimes people don't want to have to send them back to where they need to go so they don't sign and they just pass a book on for the next person to send back...especially if its far away.

I hope that helps.

Cheri - friendship books are sort of like guest books. You start them with your name and address or that of a friend. You than pass them on one by one or several at a time to someone else and they take their turn to fill it in and pass it on. When the booklet is finished being passed it is than sent back to the person whose name it was made for. Hope that helps.

Cheri.... I think you are asking what you do with the fbs after you sign in them? Like where would you send them next? You need to join another fb swap or know people who do fbs to pass them on to, so they will be the next person to 'sign in'...you can find fb swappers here at Swapbot, by googling there are some fb swapping websites as well, plus you can find fb swapper pals who have already signed in the fbs.

I like Emeraldcharm's explanation, they are like guestbooks... :)
