Description:

I can't say I've seen this idea before on swap-bot, so I'm gonna go for it.....My husband just moved five states away for a job. We will be joining him this summer, but in the mean time - we miss him! I'm sure a lot of us have people that are dear to our hearts and are farther away than a short car ride. Your "special person" doesn't have to be a spouse. It can be an aunt, a brother, a niece, a friend, an old neighbor, or your ex in prison. (Although, I don't think I'd put a return address on that one if it were assigned to me! ;o) I would like to send these people a small package. Let's say a $5 value with a card telling them that they are being thought of. You must list in the comments section who your "special person" is and some ideas for your partner to send (files and knives could be objectionable).
Newbies with at least five swaps and one heart under their belt are eligible (no ones).

I forgot - once your partner contacts you, please be prepared to provide her with your person's address!

My special person is my husband, John. Things he would like include: Your local grocery ad(s), Red Twizzlers, Dots, Jujubees, Beef Jerky, Coffee (all flavors or plain), Individual liquid coffee creamers (flavored), Easy recipes (he's cooking for himself!), Scratch-off lottery tickets. I hope this gives you some ideas and thank you!

This is a lovely swap...although I don´t know yet if I join I have that special person on my mind - thanks to you, ohiowiner...she lives in Pennsylvania and she was my host mother in an international student programme (15 years ago)...great person and I am sure it could be a great surprise for her to get a package from unknown person:-)

prisons dont let packages come in. too many resrictions on sending to a prison. I use to have alot of prisoner pals but stopped after I got married and had kids. Sounds like a cool swap. I am at my limit.

I was kind of kidding about the prison thing, but that is probably a good rule to have! ;o)

My "special" person is my daughter in law........She is a wonderful person who we love dearly. She supports and loves our son unconditionally. And when this swap ships, our son will be deployed for his first deployment.............Im sure she would love a little surprise. Some things she enjoys are........fabrics, good books, home decor magazines, black white and red scrapbooking supplies, good chocolate, candles.

Guess my out-of-towner isn't really that out of town, more like out-of-house a lot...thought it would be really nice to join this swap for my boyfriend as he's away from home a lot just to take care of all those things I don't feel like doing :P He's a boyish boy (or manly man :P) really and has this nerdy thing for all xbox related things such as merchandise or magazines, same thing even goes for (vintage) Lego, Star Trek and Blink182, hehe! Also a big Killers fan and...well...I can go on and on like this, just ask :)

PinkPosy: I will be thinking of your family while your son is deployed. I'm so glad to hear that you and your daughter in law are so loving. I have a great mother in law myself. Seems as though so many don't appreciate the families they marry into. I'm sure your daughter in law is a great girl and is lucky to have such a loving family to support her.
