Description:

This will be a flat, International swap, and you will have 1 partner. (I know the mail is being a bit of a pain in some areas, but so far as I can find online, flat mail, letters & cards are all able to be mailed - it's the packages that are being a problem. Please remember communication is key with swaps, so if your swap is returned to you or is late arriving, please just message your partners.)

I'm in the USA, and we are gearing up for Thanksgiving. I know not all places have a Thanksgiving or Harvest, but we are all probably getting special recipes ready for holiday feasts. I thought it would be nice to exchange a card and a favorite recipe with our group members. :)

For this swap, send a greeting card for whatever holiday you are getting ready for, or which ever season you are currently experiencing (cards can be store bought or handmade, but should be 4x6/A6 in size or larger, with a fold in the middle - no postcard for this swap.)

In the card, write a nice message to your partner about what you are getting ready for. Include the swap name and your ID as well, so your partner can rate you.

And, include a recipe for a favorite dish for this time of the year. (Only recipes that you have made and are 'tried and true'.) Recipes can be typed or neatly handwritten. You do not have to adjust the measurements for your partner's part of the world, but please do try to include proper measurements. Whenever possible, avoid brand names for items (for example, rather than "1 box Jiffy corn muffin mix" say "7 oz corn muffin mix" and the like.) You do not need to tailor recipes for food likes/dislikes/allergies listed on your partner's profile, since this should be a tried and true recipe. If you know how a recipe could be adapted, you can always share that information, or course! :)

Decorate the envelope if you wish, just be sure any embellishments are secured well for mailing and the address is clear and easy to read.

Be sure to rate your partner when the swap arrives - if you get a greeting card and recipe, even if you don't like it, and it's sent on time, it should be a 5.

If you have any questions or comments please send me a PM! If you would like an email recipe exchange swap please let me know! I'm happy to set it up. Also, if you like swaps like this, I'd love to know that too! :)
