Description:

perhaps it is the fact that i watch more than my share of old tv shows on reruns or borrowed dvd's, but i have been thinking about favorite tv shows of late.

i would like to ask swap participants to think about old (CANCELED) television series that, for any reason they still miss, identify with, brings a tear to their eye or they try to catch on reruns anytime they can or whatever. put embarrassment aside and lay it on the line :)

tell your swap partners (3 in total) about your favorite or missed tv show, be nostalgic, be introspective. what do you miss about it, what does that show signify for you? how were you different when that show was on then you are now? what if anything did you learn about life or yourself from that show? did you watch the series final? do you find yourself humming the opening song? recite lines from your favorite show? was it the characters you loved/hated or the actors? and so on. let your imagination be the guide on this one.

this swap will be international, so be sure to include a bit of history or write up about the theme or plot of the show in case others are unfamiliar. if you have trouble picking one television series...then by all means write about others. minimum pages for this letter will be 2, but dont stop if you have more to say :) typed letters, printed 3 times are more than allowed.

only those with a rating of 4.5 or more will be matched up unless you are a newbie, have filled out your profile and emailed me with your interest in participating.

happy swapping. please email me with any questions should you have.

Wow, am I ever feeling all warm & fuzzy & very nostalgic inside just from reading the swap description! Can't wait for this to get underway; my brain cells are really popping with memories and such.

Just an interesting little side-note I've just gotta share. I sing with our area's community chorus group, and we just had our annual Spring concerts the beginning of the month. Our concert theme was "Here, There, & Everywhere" and focused on all the places in a typical person's life where music plays a key role. One huge section of the first half of our show was a very nostalgic medley of classic TV theme songs and commercials of the past from TV. So, no wonder I'm feeling so nostalgic, finding your swap here right on the heels of my concerts...WOW! :-D

This, combined with my life-long passion for writing...gee, this swap feels like it was created just for me! :-D

thanks ViveItalia. perhaps not a popular swap...but i have certainly been giving this topic alot of thought and have a hard timing narrowing down to one favorite show...so i wont :) hope that everyone who sends and receives enjoys the memories.
