For this swap, all you have to do is send one store-bought or handmade postcard of your hometown to one swap partner. The postcard can be of a building, park, zoo, city view, etc. It would be nice if you could write something unique about yourself on the back of the postcard so that we could start to get to know one another. That is one postcard in total to be sent out.

The postcard should be sent naked (without an envelope).

Rules are that you have to be in the group, have no unexplained or recent ones, and have your profile filled out.

a question since I'm new to this post card thingy- I understand about naked (no envelope WITH the post card- although I don't think I've seen them come with envis) but do you write something on them? Or do you send them blank , with a note/description in an envi to send it?

For example- blank post card, a note attached/included, inside an envi - sent to your partner? I've never done this before so if you could explain it like I'm a 4 y/o lol I'd appreciate it. Or you can pm me! Thanks! ~A~

@AwtemNymf - thank you for your question!

The term "Naked" in the postcard swap world means that the postcard is sent through the mail with a stamp on the back of it. In addition, on the back it will have the recipient's address, the swap name, your swap-bot name, and a written greeting. Sometimes the swap details will ask for some specific greeting - ie. some fact about yourself, a recipe, etc.

When the postcard swap calls for the postcard to be sent in an envelope, it is understood to mean that the postcard will be placed inside a stamped envelope without being written on. Also enclosed in the envelope will be a note/sticky with the swap name and your swap-bot name, greeting are optional. Postcard Collectors sometimes prefer them this way because 1) postcards can be damaged through the mail system and 2) if it is a duplicate of one they already have, they can use it in a future postcard swap.

I hope this answers your question :)

Mine went out today. Be sure and peek underneath the taped on paint chip to read the note! Enjoy! Thanks for the fun swap! L
