The original title was Handmade Coaster and a Hot Drink that would require you to use the coaster but it was too long.

For this swap you will make a coaster for your partner, it can be knitted, crochet, sewn, felt, collaged (onto a cork mat)

You will also send a Hot drink ie: tea/coffee/hotchoc so your partner can use her new coaster.

Easy peasy :-)

I will be checking profiles.

Hi! Any ideas where I can get a cork mat from? I live in London. Cheers! :)

I think I've seen them in Hobbycraft, you could try 'googleing' it.

Can I use hotbeads? or is that too easy? - I might be able to do knitted but again it would be one colour probably lol.

@diamonddew I think Jox is correct with Hobbycraft. You might also be able to get them in Ikea or Dunelm Mill (do you have one of them near you?)

hotbeads? I don't know what they are. Do you have to make them hot to make them stick?

Godsrockangel 09/23/2009 #

Erm aka hama beads they are like plastic and you iron them and then they melt together

I love Hama beads- have a sqillion coasters made of these and would happily find a home for a squillion more. They are so cheerful!

I might knit a square actually hehe. I'm working on an 8 inch square and it went squiffy - it's 10 inches along the bottom now! doh!
