Description:

A mythical mini-zine
You could:

  • Re-write an old myth to suit modern times
  • Write your own myth (e.g. find some everyday or natural phenomena & write a story about why it is the way it is)
  • Talk about your interpretation of a particular myth or myths
  • Write a creation myth for a world that doesn't exist (except maybe to you)
  • Invent a mythological creature
  • Illustrate a traditional myth

These are just ideas: the only real criteria is that the theme is in some way mythological. You can interpret that however you like, using text, images or a mixture of both.

Swap requirements

  • Create a mini-zine with a mythological theme.
  • Minimum size is a 'traditional' mini-zine folded down from a single sheet of A4 or letter-size paper (click here for free templates & instructions) up to a maximum of A6/quarter-size.
  • Send one copy of your mini-zine to each of your partners.
  • 3 partners = 3 mini-zines sent & 3 mini-zines received.

The obvious bit
Ratings of 5 or just below only, and at least 5 postal swaps. If you don't meet these requirements, & you sign up without PM'ing me, I will remove you from the swap. I will check through participants & remove people I think are a potential risk, so please PM me to explain any unjustified comments or ratings, and I will take that into account. Please only sign up if you have both the time and inclination to fulfil the swap!

(Please check out my group Zines, mail art & other cool stuff and @Melas ' group Imagine! for more swaps like this :-).)
