Description:

I have recently fallen in love with Zentangles and thought it would be fun to have ATC swaps with these delicious mini art works.

While I have seen Zentangles done in black and white traditionally, I thought it would be fun to do some in colors. I am going to have a series of these so that we can get many different colors.

If you don't know what a Zentangle is, you can go here to find out: http://www.zentangle.com/about-what-is--1.php

Also, you can look at the Flickr group: http://www.flickr.com/groups/zentangle/

A few tips for Zentangles:

You can use any type of pen, but I have found that a very fine tipped pen, such as a Micron, works best.

Any design is welcome. This is YOUR art, and art can not nor should be restricted.

Any type of paper will work; however, since this is an ATC swap I do ask that you use a cardstock weight as a base for your Zentangle.

Now for the nitty gritty:

This will be an international swap since it is a flat item. You will create 1 (ONE) Zentangle for 1(ONE) partner. ATC must be the appropriate size (2.5x3.5). The color green MUST be present in the ATC, whether it is a green ATC base, green pen, etc.

Please, no recent no sends or flakers. I will be checking profiles before assigning partners to verify this. This is Newbie-friendly, but please insure that you have a well filled out profile. If you don't intend to follow through with your commitments please do not sign up. I will Angel if necessary, but please don't make it necessary. No one likes a flaker.

I will do my best to answer any questions in a timely manner :)

YAY! This swap is number 6 in the Top Swaps! WOOT!

Naoya 11/30/2009 #

Mines already made. :D

Sadly I created some ATC's that are 3X4 inches. I have one that would be perfect for this swap, but no one seems to want them. :(

I am sorry Verdigris! If I could guarantee that you would get me to send too I would love to have you join. I wouldn't mind them at all.

Rejoicing 12/ 1/2009 #

@Verdigris you could try to cut them down some, maybe?

bean88 12/ 5/2009 #

mine is finished and will be sent tomorrow! I had fun doing this!

Hey @Verdigris I would try what @Rejoicing suggested, sometimes making it bigger and finding the perfect ATC size in that overall piece is interesting. Of course, if you didn't want to cut up the original piece of art you created (I'd understand that too) you could leave it at the bigger size and send it as a post card to someone.

Also, I'd be interested in a private swap, for a 3X4 inch zentangle post card swap..just sayin'. Y'know, if you were..

Darn! I sent these out ages ago but forgot to mark this sent. sorry about that. The holiday hooplah got me side-tracked.
