Description:

This swap is for 1 lovely brooch to 1 lovely partner. You will take a brooch that is currently really used as a brooch and alter it to use as a..um...er...brooch! Ever see a really pretty shaped brooch at a flea market, junk store etc. and think..."man that's ugly"? What can you do to salvage it? Add some new rhinestones or remove the beads and exchange for a new color. Maybe it's not so ugly but in need of an update. It's all up to you. This is not profile based so you can start right away. If you are in the group it is most likely you already meet any requirements I would set. No flakers and no recent no sends. Pm me with questions...search Flickr for other great pics like the one I posted. (not my creation) ***some additional ideas are to add fabric, polymer clay, charms, beading. Perhaps a round brooch could be the "center" for a lovely flower or maybe the brooch needs color added. An old enamel brooch may just need a fresh spray of paint and a few beads attached. Maybe 2 old brooches can be merged together. Anything goes so feel free to create away. The Flickr pic shows a brooch that has had pearls attached and color added (not sure if that is fabric or clay) Looks pretty cool!

The swap description has decided to leave and I can't get it to come back.

This swap is for 1 brooch to 1 partner. You must alter an existing brooch in some way. You may add fabric, beads, polymer clay etc. Anything goes as long as the original brooch has been altered and can still be used as a brooch. For instance, the swap picture shows a brooch that has been altered with pearls and polymer clay (or fabric..can't tell). This picture was found on Flickr and you can search altered brooches to find more examples. Pm me with questions, comments or ideas.

examples: make a round brooch into the "center" of flower and add fabric petals. Totally cover the old brooch with clay. Add beads/charms or chain to change the look.

No flakers and no recent no sends.
