Description:

This swap was an US Only swap from Harleygirl last month. I think this is a grandious idea, so I will start the international version.

This is a swap for expecting mothers or mothers of babies. I have three kids, but this swap will be for my little princess Mara Elea. She is now 4 month old. So...here's to the babies!

I´m so free to cut and paste the rule for these swap from Harleygirl and change a little bit. Here English is better than mines.

You will each post your baby's gender, age and size (possibly a size larger than they currently wear). If you do not post or contact your partner, DO NOT complain about what you receive! Your baby must not be any older than 18 months--after that they're not so "babyish" any more.If you're expecting and do not know the gender, please list this info so you can receive neutral colours.

Once you find out your partner and have read their baby's info, you will send 1 (2 for point 3) of each item below:

1.) An age appropriate toy. (Just a small one, as this is not intended to be an expensive swap.)

2.) A "care" item--powder, soap, lotion, a couple diapers, wipes, comb, etc.

3.) Two outfits. Must not new. Used is ok, but nice. We all know, baby things aren't used long enough to wear out most of the time.

So, you will be sending at least 4 items, more if you choose.

Please remember that this is not intended to be expensive. Babies don't care how much something costs--they just love attention and to feel special. There are a lot of nice, new, cheap baby things out there.

No one with less than a 4.5. If you're new, please contact me. I'll be checking around, so if you're a scammer, don't even bother signing up!

Please have fun and send special baby stuff! They're only babies once!

My son is on the older side of this- he will be 16 months by the time the package is received. His name is Ben. 18 month-2 year clothes. just tee shirts would be fine. Maybe a small "Matchbox" car or a wood block for the toy. The package need not be fancy at all- I'm more excited about sending a gift than getting one.

I'm expecting a boy in the end of september. It's quite cold at that time of year here in Norway, so please no short arms like t-shirts etc.

I'm expecting a little girl on Christmas day and think it will be great to welcome her with her very own swap. So, newborn sizes are great and since I'm in NZ - summer wear... I would prefer green & white to pink and purple but its not always easy! Can't wait to send this one out!

I am expecting my 3rd baby towards the end of January. I have a history of big babies 9lbs+ so 0-3 would be better than newborn for clothing. It will be cold here in England in January so long legs/sleeves would be better in neutral colours as I don't know babies gender.

My son is 6 months old right now, he will be wearing 6-9 months or 9-12 month clothes. It is cold here in fall & winter. Please nothing sports related (unless it's something cool like rugby, fencing, or other such European sport). European characters are always welcome too.

My daughter will be 8 1/2 months at the time of this swap and going into a size 1 (9-12month clothes) and in Australia it is coming into spring/summer. Perth gets Very Hot so singlets and shortie clothes are very appropriate.I am still breastfeeding so breastpads would be a great "care " item .... just an idea- anything is fine.:o) ((((hugs))))

My daughter is 13 months, so size 2 is probably best. Short sleeved t-shirts and singlets would be great, as she we're coming up to Summer, and she tends to live in a shirt and cloth nappy when the days are warm =)

My daughter is 6 month old and wear size 68/74 in Germany sizes. I don´t know the international sizes, but I think 9-12 month clothes (size 1) will fits her.Perhaps you can send clothes for the upcoming winter.

Hey Sonia

Thanks for leaving your comment - I was wondering what the weather is like in Portugal about now. I'll be shopping tomorrow after work and sending out by the weekend. It's coming from New Zealand!

caracois 09/ 5/2007 #

Hey Deb! Wow! I long to visit New Zealand... :-) It's still hot here but cold weather should come in a month or so...

Hi Sonia

It's beautiful here - we have moved over from Australia. Tough choice to live in either country, they are both fabbo. Your parcel left today... enjoy : )
