About Me

I am a crafty nut who has just moved back to Australia. I have an array of fabrics, trims and buttons from Melbourne and Japan and look forward to a swap or a few hundred... It gets kinda addictive... I love Japanese fabrics & trims and my favourite colours are green and red. I also love vintage fabrics, trees and birds. I try to recycle fabrics where possible. My list of 'I like': COLORS: Green (esp. olive, moss & apple) Red, bright colors. Combinations: dusky pink w/ olive green, red with blue, grey with pink, green with anything… STUFF: japanese fabric, vintage fabrics, , zakka, hedgehogs, owls, birds, trees & leaves, patterns, bright coloured polka dots & stripes, ,notecards, greeting cards,stamps, ribbon, stuffies, fabric covered vintage buttons and old bright wallpaper…

'I don't like': pastel colors, purple, anything Victorian style, religious matter & icons...

Our little girl Indigo is now 15months and her birthday is 15th December. She is absolutely perfect...

Favorite Music

Mainly chick tunes; Missy Higgins, Aretha Franklin, Tracy Chapman, Tori Amos, Powderfinger, Coldplay, Ben Harper, Crowded House, U2. Compilations of funk/jazz and those cool mixes of chillout tunes. Many Australian bands too...

Favorite Movies

Where to start... The Green Mile, The Castle, Kenny, The Big Blue, Betty Blue, Napoleon Dynamite, Failure to Launch, Bridget Jone's Diary, Vanilla Sky, Dirty Dancing, Footloose, Pretty in Pink, all the 80's drama's

Favorite Television

The Iron Chef, Neighbours, The News, Cooking shows, Underbelly, Six Feet Under, Love My Way, The Sopranos, Spicks and Specks, Rockwiz, Brothers and Sisters, Greys Anatomy.

Favorite Crafts

Japanese.... also sewing handbags, clutches, jewellery, knitting, screenprinting etc. Must have busy hands... while baby naps!

Favorite Books

Anything by: Haruki Murakami, Milan Kundera, Banana Yoshimoto, Yoshimoto Nara, Tim Winton. Nan Witcomb, Helen Garner. I adore Japanese craft books...and many other craft books.

That stamp you used on the paper is lovely! I'm going to use them too haha I love each item, believe me! Comment: Wow! What an amazing parcel. I'd tell what my favorite is...but I love so many things. The little mushroom charms are just darling! I had so much fun opening each special package. I love the ribbon, the paper, the handmade tags (that I don't want to use, I want to keep) - I could go on and on. Thank you for taking so much care in putting it together. I look forward to using each piece :)

Comment: OMG deb you deserve 20 hearts for just the packaging alone!! did you make all the papers yourself? they are gorgeous. i unwraped everything so carefully so i can use the paper again lol. i LOVE LOVE LOVE everything!!! the mushroom charms, the tags, the fabric and ribbons are my favourites. i will definitely check out that shop in richmond. what a lovely parcel. thank you SOOOO much. anna ^_^

Comment: Hello Deb! Yay, the birdy package arrived this morning! I am just "wow!" I love all the items you sent me :) Thank you so much! I'm going to use the fabric as a shawl for the throat, and the little bird made of wool will have a good view, her nest will be above my computer hehehe Oh! I adooore the earrings!! aww! And the envelopes, the cards, the tags with that beautiful lace, the coasters (omg!), everything is the prettiest! Sorry about this large text, but i just want to write here that you're a great swapper and i'm so happy with this swap! :D And i feel a little bit sad, my package was less beautiful than yours hahaha Thank you again! Thank you for the extra items for my son, it was so nice of you to think of him as well. He's away with his aunt at the moment, she's taken him to legoland today and he won't be back till tomorrow but I know he'll love them.
