Description:

Would you like pieces to make Steam Punk type crafts? Well, me too! So here's the skinny; Send:

1 Steam Punk ATC

5-10 small mechanical components (from things like small watch parts, parts of toys, springs, bolts, glass . . . .) - BUT make sure they are tiny to small; also you can make some of the pieces if you like

5-10 victorian images (stamped printed, etc . . . .)

write one page worth of talk and doodles on things you think of when you think steam punk - not a letter but a page of ideas, "inventions", images, scenes . . . . .

This is sender's choice so please have theme ready to send as I will be making the final mail out date very close to the last sign up date.

What do you think? I think it could be fun so please join me.

I'm really interested in the steampunk genre, but I have no images or components to create with. If anyone would be interested in a private swap, pm me and I can trade you something else for your steampunk supplies.

Hello: Although I am hosting this, I am quite new to it too. I am going to get some of my mechanics from watches and toys I get from dollar stores and thrift stores. As for the images I believe they are just any victoria type images and then you add your own creative touches to "steam punk" them up. I hope this helped.

Update: I just went to the dollar store and found wide brimmed swim goggles, party favor guns that shoot airplanes, geometric shape stencil - you know, the ones with the circle with teeth and you move the different shapes inside to make patterns (?), and a toy circus that I can take a part for parts - I'll let you guess how I'm going to use them (wink)

I would join, but I do not understand the "5-10 victorian rubber stamp images" part or the written page...

RBM3579 03/28/2010 #

To clarify: 5-10 images that you think are victorian (google time period) - example: if you have 5 rubber stamps you can stamp 2 images of each on cardstock so your partner will have 10 images to use;

writing page is doodles filling a page with the topic of steam punk, b/w and/or color

I'm very interested in this swap. Do the Victorian images have to be stamped? I don't have Victorian stamps but I do have some pictures.

CheekyMango 04/ 8/2010 #

I'm interested in this one, but don't have any rubber stamps, but do have some images.. Would this suffice? I think this is the exact same situation as katara..

I'm a third person in the same situation as katara and CheekyMango - could we get a reply so we can join the swap in time or decide it's not for us? Thanks.

Oh my, I'm sorry I'm really bad about checking comments every day: I've changed the swap sign up date and the rubber stamp images requirement. Please read info. Also, if there are any further questions please e-mail me in swap-bot - I am sure to check that frequently. Again sorry and happy swapping.

I hope this comes up again. I can't commit right now, but I love the idea.
