Here's my wishlist:

  • a blank journal (hardbound or leather)

  • a list of your 10 favorite writing magazines/Web sites/resources

  • A Moleskine notebook (lined pages)

  • any Pilot ink pens (blue preferred, but black OK too)

  • a copy (gently used is fine) of a writing magazine other than Writer's Digest, The Writer and Poets&Writers

  • a writing article on creativity, revising your novel, setting

  • a dotee doll for my desk

  • a pen pal letter a week for a month :) Yes, this is a desperate -- pathetic :) -- plea for fun mail

  • a gift card to Barnes & Noble, Panera, Starbucks or I-HOP (all places where I regularly go to write)

  • inspirational quotes

Is this where we are supposed to post them? I'll post mine here until I hear otherwise.

  1. Some really cool pens (gel, metallic, sparkly, etc)
  2. Decorative tape (I include duck tape in this. I already have purple, orange, and tie dye, but there's green, brown, blue, etc in the pain section of walmarts and other stores....most people don't think of duck tape when mentioning decorative tape, but I'll love either one so I mentioned it).
  3. A book of really good poetry
  4. journal to alter or things to alter a journal with (such as decorations and glue)
  5. A book about running
  6. picture frames (dark colors) to hang pics and ATCs in my kids' room
  7. A spanish or spanish/english kids' book. (I try to read to my kids in Spanish).
  8. A really good book of short stories
  9. A writer's surprise kit (as in you put together a kit for a writer that you think would be nice and beneficial)
  10. A TS Elliot book

I hope that is enough range and enough variety.

  1. nice writing pen(s) - your recommendation of "nice" would be great
  2. a Starbucks gift card
  3. any used book you'd like to recommend (or just think I might like)
  4. a children's chapter book, used is great
  5. a Half Price Books gift card (do you guys have those near you?)
  6. an Etsy favorite?
  7. a short story written by you
  8. an interesting zine, by you or previously read
  9. "a week in your life" on postcards, written and mailed one day at a time
  10. a random act of kindness, write me a letter and tell me what you did, the response you received (if any), and why you did it; but it should be a NEW one that you did especially for this swap, don't cheat and tell me about something you've already done :-)
