If you've sent me something and haven't heard from me, please don't hesitate to ask me about it! I've gotten a little overwhelmed lately, and while I appreciate everything that I've received, I'm afraid I might have missed some Thank You's...

I have 2 kids. My daughter is 4 and my son is 1. I'm active in my MOMS Club (just got elected secretary!).

I enjoy crocheting for charity and painting watercolor illustrations when I have a free moment or two.

I'm not so active anymore but in life before the kids, I was very involved with Great Dane Rescue of North Texas. Actually, it wasn't the kids that changed things so much as the loss of our beloved Angus in July of '06. I still love the breed even though we aren't sure if we'll ever own (or be owned by) another Dane.

I'm also a sympathizer for the plight of the Lakota in the badlands of South Dakota, Pine Ridge Reservation. Most of the stuff that I crochet goes there to keep the people warm. While my heritage (and my best friend) is Cherokee and I know all reservation life is rough, it's PRR that suffers the worst conditions in the USA and I find that intolerable. While I can't do much, I try to do what I can.

I've seen "An Inconvenient Truth" and am trying to change my ways for the sake of our children. I believe the earth will be inhabitable within their lifetime if we don't change our ways.

Postcards - anything goes! I like the thought and effort put into handmade postcards. I like funny and unique cards, and I like beautiful ones too. About the only ones I don't really care about (though I know some people go ga-ga for them) are mapcards, I'd much prefer a local scene. Of course, if you send me a mapcard, I'll appreciate it because you sent it. :o) Oh, and I prefer the standard size cards because I'm planning to make a book of my collection.

Organization...I don't have much of it...

My husband is a computer architect for Sabre Holdings. He's English, so my in-laws are in England. ;-)

My daughter wears a size 5 in most things. She likes Scooby Doo, Power Rangers, Hello Kitty, Spiderman, Batman (yep, tomboy!) bright colors, crafting and coloring, books...

My son is wearing size 18 months. He loves his sister! He's walking, running, and climbing, starting to say a few words, and loves being outside more than anything. His favorite things include short, simple books, cars, balls, and music.
