I'm really into the whole fair trade concept - I work as a volunteer at a fair trade store and I always look for the fair trade label when I'm shopping. In this swap we will all do that! :-)
Each participant will have one partner, and will send them something that is certified fair trade and is edible, ie, to eat or drink. This swap is sender's choice - although of course it is the polite and friendly thing to do to check your partner's profile to see if there is anything they absolutely hate, but it is sender's choice EXCEPT that if participants have any allergies, they must post about these in the comments section of the swap and this information must be taken into account. You may be rated down if you send something to which your partner is allergic (provided that they have made this clear when signing up).
'Edible' is a pretty vague term, so it can include a lot of things ... but let's try to be creative. There is SO much more to the world of fair trade than coffee and chocolate. ;-) You can send anything you like as long as it is something to eat or drink (but please package very carefully if it's in a breakable container). I hesitate to put a minimum amount to spend on this because purchasing power is so different in different countries ... but I will be strict about who I allow to join this swap and I want all participants to send something they would be happy to receive themselves.
You can send several small items or one bigger item, whatever you prefer, as long as it's fair trade and edible. :-)
No newbies in this swap. 4.9 and up to join. I will look at all participants carefully before assigning partners and will ban at my discretion. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
