Vintage Candy Swap
Swap Coordinator:Wallflower (contact)
Swap categories: Food
Number of people in swap:11
Location:International
Type:Type 3: Package or craft
Last day to signup/drop:March 26, 2010
Date items must be sent by:April 2, 2010
Number of swap partners:1
Description:

For this swap you will send your partner packaged candy items that you feel are vintage. By this I do not mean old as in expired, but instead candy that reminds you of your childhood. this could be anything from Lemonheads to Chico-Sticks to that flat taffy they used to make. This does not include Skittles, Snickers, etc. The better the package design/retro factor/obscurity the better!

I understand if you are younger maybe you do not have anything that comes to mind but when shopping, you can still pick packaging that looks old-fashioned or says "Since 1923" etc. Do a little research.

Please do not send candy that is not sealed properly, has been opened, etc. and do not send old candy you found in your grandmothers' attic! It must be edible.

I'm thinking send 3-4 items but as always, the sky is the limit.

Please nobody with less than a 5 rating unless it can be explained. "Newbies" okay.

there actually is a vintage candy shop in town. I just want to check out it's prices first.

Traceyk- They do still make pop rocks! I just received some in a swap last week. Still deliciously fun!

Our dollar store occasionally has pop rocks-- I always stock up when they do! :) Watching!

This should be fun. We have some candy places around here that have been making things the same for years like Pearson's Salted Nut Roll. And Pop Rocks are still around my local Target carries them.

Heck yea this should be fun. Sadly, the dollar general has nearly all the stuff list above. But... its all about suprises in the mail that we care about :) LOL.
