Description:

I hosted a similar swap with adjectives a few months ago. Now here's a chance to dip into some of your favorite novels and enjoy their "action words"--their verbs!

You will have 3 partners and you will send each partner 1 postcard. On that postcard you should write the first 20 verbs that you find starting on page 40 of one of your favorite novels. You can use a different novel for each partner or the same one; it's up to you.

Your postcards can be handmade or commercially produced. The picture on the card doesn't necessarily have to "fit" with your chosen novel, though (of course) you're welcome to make it fit if you'd like.

Feel welcome to use a novel in a language other than English, but please include an English translation of your verbs unless you know for certain that your swap partner knows the other language.

And remember to include the title of the novel and its author on your postcard, as well as your name/username!

Other information: 1) Anyone with a rating lower than 4.7 will be dropped before partners are assigned. 2) For this swap it's alright to send a handmade postcard in an envelope to protect it. 3) Newbies with completed profiles are welcome. 4) This is an international swap.

And finally: let's have some verby verbal fun!

This will be such fun! Love your themes, beckra.

There is a new postcard category added.... I am going to so love being able to seek out just postcard swaps :-)

Yay, and thanks for your enthusiasm, frankcheez & PostMuse--I'm glad you're in! And thanks, PostMuse, for mentioning that there's now a "Postcards" category for swaps; I edited the swap to add it.... I think many (many!) swappers will be glad that we can now look at all the postcard swaps going on at one time!

On the off chance that any of my partners have Spanish novels laying around, I'd love a postcard of Spanish verbs without translation.

I don't quite have a 4.7 rating... almost! It was due to a problem with the mail a long time ago, the other 3 people in the tip-in swap received their pages, not sure why one didn't and I wasn't able to send another :(

Would you pretty please let me join anyway? I might actually have clawed my way back up to 4.7 by then anyway but thought I'd better get in touch to check!!

Could you let me know as soon as you can, as I want to start writing the cards :)

Thank you! ~Erica
