Description:

THIS IS A MONTH LONG BIG SWAP COMMITMENT..

Winter is coming, and this is my most favorite season. I love Wearing gloves, and scarves, and warm socks, and drinking Warm coffee and teas.

Rules/Directions:

You will have one partner for the entire month of November, and will mail to your partner on these exact specific dates. You Will be rated entirely on the dates you mail ! If you are late on ANY of the send-by dates your assigned partner has the option to mark you with a 3 for not following the rules. So before signing up make sure you can get yourself to the Post Office by the send-by dates. You have plenty of time to prepare for this swap ahead of time – get your items, bought, labeled and sealed like I do to be ON time !!

This swap is going to be a very “specific date” to send-by. You will mail to your assigned “gal pal” Four (4) packages (this is US Only).

Ideas for this swap are as follows:

Winter gloves, scarves, socks, coffee’s, teas, cocoa, hand creams, lip balms, hand warmers, a small note about what you like or hate about winter, or anything you think will warm-up/ or help your partner during those cold Winter days coming !

If you have very sensitive allergies, or too many dislikes, this is not a swap for you – the items sent are sender’s choice. As always Hearts for those extra special packages is up to the Receiver. Please RATE fairly, as long as they meet the assigned swap, not if you like what they sent to you. It’s all about the Send-by dates for this swap to get a rate of 5.

Mail Dates:

Send dates are as follows: Monday, Nov 1, Monday, Nov 8, Monday, Nov 15 and final date, Monday, Nov 22. Receiving partners should not mark RECEIVED until the final mail date is complete. You can always PM your partner that you have sent out your package on time.

Your partner should have all her goodies to start her cool Winter off by December. If you DO NOT plan on fulfilling this long term swap – DO NOT sign up. NO ONE with a 1 or 3 rating within the last 6 months will be allowed in this swap, or if you have not swapped in the last 3 months prior to this swap start date. I will ban anyone I see questionable. No newbies – sorry.

If this is confusing please ASK questions, I love these weekly mailing type swaps and don’t like anyone to be FLAKED on !

How many items should be included in each parcel?

RainyC 09/12/2010 #

Atleast ONE main winter item per send.. if you include extras after that its completely up to you..

I am looking forward to this...I live in PA and hate the long, cold winters...this swap will literally make for a warm fuzzy :)

RainyC 09/16/2010 #

ah yes.. cold winters there for sure !!

Should it be profile specific? I ask because I'd like to join, but I'd also like to start knitting my partner something now (I'm really slow), and since I obviously don't know color preferences yet, I want to make sure my choice will be okay and not looked down upon since it's not profile specific.

also, great idea for a swap!

RainyC 09/21/2010 #

No, not profile specific, just WINTER/COLD WEATHER themed.. thanks..

I put the specific dates to first of all make sure they are "spaced" out for the month.. for a weekly gift.. the second reason is I want to make sure they are SENT by that date and not late or all at once.. I'd say before is fine but NOT after..

RainyC 10/ 1/2010 #

I gave dates so that they are spaced out per week.. if you want to see if your partner (once assigned) is okay with your mailing dates you are more than welcome to do that. But the swap guidelines have specific dates to follow.
