Description:

I've been doing a lot of reading latley and I'm in need of some more bookmarks--I love getting ones from all over, handmade by you!

For this swap:

--you will have 1 partner

--send 2 handmade bookmarks to your partner

--Handmade: It can be anything that you make, but it MUST be sturdy enough to use for a bookmark. They don't have to be laminated and you can use misc. paper, stickers, ribbon, sequins, you name it. The list is endless.

--absolutely NO store bought bookmarks or bookmarks coming from the library or something cut out of a magazine. Make something you would enjoy receiving.

--this swap is INTERNATIONAL so anyone is able to join, even Newbies. I do not have a rating requirement for this swap, HOWEVER, I will ban anyone that I feel is questionable. Don't flake--its just plain out rude. If you can't meet the deadline than don't sign up.

--last day to sign up is October 4th

--you must have your swap out by October 11th, no later

I hope everyone has fun with this and be creative or try something new and fun. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns!

Hej i live in germanz and denmark ,half and half. Its my first swap. So i need a few instruktions how to do it. Greatings from laila

It's pretty simple--you just make a bookmark--you can take a regular bookmark and get an idea for the size. Then just take some scrap booking paper or some kind of card stock--something heavy and durable and make one. You can punch a hole in it and put ribbon through it--the list is endless on how to make them. You can also add glitter/stickers/embellishments to them.

Do a search online for hand-made bookmarks and it'll probably help you out some too so you can get some ideas.

Can I send a book thong as a bookmark?

Anneliese25 09/29/2010 #

Is this a strictly paper swap? Or can the bookmark be crocheted or knitted or sewn?

thebeholder 09/30/2010 #

A book thong is fine. The bookmarks are not strictly paper--they can be crocheted or knitted or anything as long as it's hand made. :-)

This sounds like fun. I am new to Swap-Bot so Ia m not exactly sure how this works.. once I join a swap, I'll recieve the info of my swap partner and vice versa?

thebeholder 10/ 2/2010 #

once you join the swap you wait until the day after the deadline to sign up--I'll assign partners first thing that morning.--so for this swap partners will be assigned on October 5th. Then you'll look at the right hand corner and click on see who to send to (or something like that) and it'll have your partners address and whatnot. Please remember to come back to this swap when you receive your swaps to rate your partner.

Thanks for keeping this open to all of us newbies.

Hi the link is not working for my Partner for the bookmark

thebeholder 10/ 6/2010 #

were you able to get it to work? It should be working--just click on "See the partners you send to" at the top right hand of the corner. If you still can't see it than PM me and I'll give you your partners information so you can send it.
