Description:

This swap is for all visual artists out there! Painters, photographers, collage makers, video makers, sculpturists, illustrators...all visual art media are accepted

This is not a swap for cernit-fimo-polymer clay jewel makers or ATC card creators (i'm both and love it :D so this doesn't want to sound offensive, it's just this is another kind of swap). What I mean is the kind of art we're talking about here is not "crafty", it's something you could read about in an art magazine, I hope to be able to explain this without offending anyone (I repeat, I'm so into scrapbooking and jewelery making and stuff!)

Rules:

  • You need to be a (semi)professional artist to join, or at least have a website (not necessarily your own) displaying your works somehow...you know what I mean don't you? You can't just show us your holiday's pictures :)

  • You will send an email with 5-10 sample picture of your art and present it :) you'll also add a link to your personal website or to online galleries, websites, interviews featuring your works!

  • You'll have 10 partners (this is an email swap so you just need to add more addresses - you want to spread your art don't you? :D

  • When rating please add a comment about your partner's art, this is what the swap's about: good or bad critiques, we want to know what other people think of our art! :)

Suggestions are welcome! Happy swapping!

does a flickr account count as a website?

Not taking offense here, but ATCs are not necessarily "crafty". They are Artist Trading Cards--meaning small pieces of art traded to other artists for their cards. I have quite a few posted online, as well as larger versions of my other art pieces (including jewelry), which are also hanging in galleries, so I'm a semi-professional artist (I've even sold a few!)

I graduated with a BFA. I've always considered ATC as a form of art. and not so much crafty... Though Crafty has always been a big debate in the art worlds as well. just my opinion. :)

I do digital painting. I use it also for illustration purpose. And also the atc, I make mine mini acrylic paintings. Anything larger, I really don't have any pictures of and are done in oil. Could I join?

@twobluecrows and @elvengem i am an artist (visit my profile, there's my website) and so often participate in mailart shows and so on, i said i am NOT discriminating that kind of art, just we're not talking about this here! that's all!

@thegreengriffin and @sonaa you can both join!
