Ever find yourself stumped when it comes to gift giving? Is money tight, or do you just want to go green the handmade way?

This swap is for those of us who are always scratching our heads just before the holidays or a birthday. Your task is to come up with 4 ideas for frugal gift giving—they can be craft ideas (knit, crochet, sewn, generally crafted) based on your and your partners' interests, or gifts that can be compiled or bought for the equivilant or under $10/10 Euro. Email these ideas, along with any helpful links, tips, or pictures you might have, to 2 partners.

A few things to know:

--You need a minimum of 4 ideas.

--This is an email swap. Send BCC.

--You will have 2 partners.

--Do not confuse “frugal” with “cheap”. Put ideas out that are inexpensive, but nice to receive. Stretch the dollar/euro a little farther in these tougher economic times.

--Everyone is welcome here. That means you, newbies and unrated swappers! Just have a well-filled out profile.

--“Everyone” also means those of us with 3s or 1s on our records. Boost your ratings and get good swapping karma back

--This is not holiday-specific.

--Tutorials are not a must, but would be nice. This is merely to compile a viable list of gift options :)

--This swap is super easy, super quick. Feel free to compile your list now.

Questions? Concerns? Message me!

Welcome to the swap!

Just checking if partners will be allocated straight away? I am traveling from the 29th in to early Dec but really, really, really want to participate.

Hi olivias! I generally make it a habit to assign partners the day after signups end. You are more than welcome to make up your list as soon as you sign up, put it in the body of an email and save it as a draft. That way, if you have internet access wherever you are traveling, all you have to do is put in your partners' email addresses in the BCC field and hit send. Hope that helps!
