Description:

Want a neat Valentines themed postmark on some Valentines cards that you get? In this swap we will get some!

You will get 3 Valentines cards (storebought or handmade, no classroom type). Write a Valentine greeting in the card.

You will then address them and stamp them like normal to each of your partners.(Using Valentines theme stamps is a good touch here but not required)

Before you mail them, pick a town below and put all of these envelopes into a bigger envelope addressed in this form:

Postmaster
Valentine Remailing
City, State Zip Code.

And you ONLY change the last line to one of the following: (Number is average valentines stamped per year, please do not put that on the envelope as this is just an fyi)

Top 4 most popular:

  • Valentine, TX 79854 (40,000)
  • Romance, AR 72136 (7,500)
  • Loveland, CO 80538 (200,000)
  • Valentines, VA 23887 (25,000)

Others:

  • Loveville, MD 20656
  • Loving, NM 88258
  • Heart Butte, MT 59448
  • Darling, MS 38623
  • Bliss, ID 83314
  • Bliss, NY 14024
  • Juliette, GA 31046 (4k)
  • Romeo, MI 48065 (4k)
  • Hartville, WY 82215
  • Kissimmee, FL 34744
  • Lovejoy, GA 30250
  • Loves Park, IL 61111
  • Loving, TX 76460
  • Loveland, OH 45140

Then you mail the ONE envelope like normal, and the PO you are sending to will do the rest! (You DO need the correct postage on the outside envelope so please make sure you get that correct as just one stamp there will not suffice.)

  • US only
  • 4.9 and up
  • No Newbies
  • I reserve the right to ban anyone I feel would flake or make this a bad swap experience.

  • Sending extra's is always optional but not required. It may just help you earn that heart! *(Disclamer: Swap participants should never demand that they receive a heart for their sent swap items. Hearts are only to be given at the discretion of each swap recipient. Cited )

  • You may get your cards a little bit after Valentines. If so you CANNOT rate down for this.

I live in Loveland, CO (The Sweetheart City) and our remailing program has been going on for decades. We have a special cache every year that is unique and used just for this program. Be sure to put the appropriate postage on each card before you put it in the envelope.

Yep, the one in Valentine, TX has been going on since the year I was born! They hand stamp every single one and most of the community joins in (its a small town) to help and it takes about 2-3 weeks to hand stamp all the envelopes.

That's a really cute tradition. I've started to collect postmarks...that'd be a really cute one to receive.
