UPDATE: No swaps for the next while....I am in the middle of finals next week and applying for summer jobs.

I'm a past student currently in college. I am temporarily working for family and it's very on and off. I'm in my mid-twenties and am quite happy with that (teen years were a little rocky).

I'm into:

Beads/Jewelery making, Stamps, Fuzzy Animals, Postcards (Can't seem to find any around here), Photography, Healthy Recipe Cards (am learning to cook), Butterflies, Buttons, Cloth Scraps, Cotton/Acrylic Yarn, Alice In Wonderland, Nightmare Before Christmas

I love antique Bakelite jewelery; I've re-purposed interesting buttons and basic ones as jewellery. A friend of mine has made me hair clips out of it as well. I make Little Monsters out of recycled materials and .

I live in Canada and hope I can pair up with someone/a few people whom likes to do a few Swaps. A pen pal would be cool too. I like to make and build things...I used to make a lot of birdhouses as a kid and my dad and I built two porches together.

I'm non-religious (Xmas is snowman and santa for me).

I honestly have always liked Valentine's Day even though I'm oddly single each time it comes around. Love chocolate, cinnamon hearts and cute retro cards. Halloween is my fave holiday though. Love scary stuff :D like Japanese horror.

If sending a crocheting kit please make sure I can do the same with cotton/acrylic wool. I have a wool/mohair allergy.

I also am repeatedly tired/have chronic pain in my legs... :S Rainy/cold days are crafting days for me.

Dislikes/Fears: Aliens, Spiders (Halloween cartoon ones are ok); bugs (also butterflies in glass); cobras; or sharks.

Allergies:

almonds (the type with the skin on, slivers are ok), cinnamon (but not cina-hearts), certain red dyes, cherry suckers/cherry flavored anything, wool, mohair

~ if it's something like gummies..I can give the red ones to my treat monster dad :D and eat the others.

At one point I was almost writing for a punk mag in high school but they wouldn't let me b/c I was 16. It's been said that I'm the girl version of Rob from High Fidelity (book or movie). My music collection is kind of massive.

To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Alligator by Lisa Moore, Alice Munro, Kim Harrison, Margaret Atwood, Laurel K Hamilton, Rachel Morgan series, Harlequin romance (usually involving cowboys, greece, italy or a tropical island); holiday Harlequins are also appreciated.

I've met a few of my favorite authors; which was pretty neat. Some live in the area I used to live in.

I'm really into the Dante Valentine series and House of Night books.

Dear Juliet,

How do you meet normal guys that are looking for a more serious relationship (aka places to go minus bars)? I'm a twenty-something working on getting back into the dating scene while being out of it for two years. I'm also going back to college for marketing. :D I also really don't enjoy my friends setups as they tend to be the ones they threw back (fish in the sea bit).
