Description:

I prepare to honor the Goddess in her Maiden form as her foot prints start to show as the buds and blooms that emerge on the mountain I call my home. The songs and growth of spring fill my heart with joy after the quiet contemplation of the crone’s winter snows. The Maiden has taken on a different face for me other than the one I danced with on the white tropical beaches of my youth. So I often wounded how others see the Goddess and honor Her. For this swap you are to send your partner a letter about your favorite Maiden Goddess or how you envision the Maiden and how she inspires or touches you. You are to also to make an alter or shrine item for her and your partner. This can be a working traveling alter that has things you would need to do a ritual for the Maiden or a decorative alter ,wreath, book, doll or necklace that teaches about and honors the Goddess you have chosen. This should be an item with some complexity, thought and time. I do not want to limit your creativity. I know an artist who makes the most amazing Goddess/ alter skirts and another who makes alters out of bread. Please honor the Goddess, your partner and yourself by doing an item all would be proud to receive, display or wear. I am giving everyone plenty of time to do a nice job. This is not a partner driven swap but if you have allergies, customs issues you know about or materials that just repulse you please post a note below. Please rate. It is such a nice way to say thank you.

Requirements:

  1. A letter that talks about your favorite Maiden Goddess aspect & explains the item that you have sent.

  2. One hand crafted item to honor the Maiden. The item can have parts that are store bought but should be made into an original item assembled by you. This item should be of sound construction.

  3. Please include the name of the swap and your name so that your partner can rate you.

  4. Post below allergies or issues

I hate mass made plastic beads or kiddie wood beads. I also have a strong dislike of Styrofoam and plastic. The exception is shrink art and fimo type clays.
