I joined in January of this year and my goal was to do 365 swaps. I have gotten to my goal on ratings. I expect to make my swap sign up and complected goal by my year anniversary. Thank you to all those wonderful swappers I worked with. You have made this fun and educational. When I meet my sign up goal I will be cutting way back on my swapping but I do hope to start hosting. I will also be cutting back on my groups. This is nothing personal everyone has been so nice but I really need to cut back every where. Thank you and happy swapping.
If you are looking at this you are probably trying to put together something to send me. Let me just say thank you for taking the time to learn something about me and if you are making something for me you have my deep gratitude. If for some reasons you have not gotten your goodies or rating, please, contact me. Believe me it was not on purpose.
I am American with a Cuban, Italian, Irish background. I am an artist and art teacher. I have a BFA in painting and printmaking but do pottery most of the time with my husband. I am very happily married. I love quirky over cute. Don't mind dark and absolutely into the different but not super gore. So, the more creative the better. I love learning about cultures all around the world per industrial is the best. I have a collection of mermaids ( always looking for split tail mermaids),religious items and handmade ethnic goodies. I love having things to show my students in school. If you are an artist and have a bio and send me art work like an ATC I will be using it to inspire my kids with their own art.

Trash and treasures is my reading list. I like doing research and love reading trash. I own a collection of fairy tails from around the world for both children and adults.
Action, romance, comedy, musicals, SciFi, fantasy, less blood and gore horror, all kinds of animation and old black and white. Movies I love- Frida, My fair Lady, The Hunger, GiGi, Kinky Boots, The serpent and the rainbow, Angle Heart,Blade Runner ....

Bones, NCIS, True Blood, most of the Star Tracks, Fire Fly, old x-files, food net work and history channel, Taboo, and the secret life of women.

clay, beads, carving, painting, printmaking, spinning, needle felting, doll making, food art, soap making, aroma therapy, circle knitting, cooking, ATCs

I Like-If you are an artist or craftier person I like homemade things best. I love learning about all types of religions and different cultures from different time periods.
I like: moons and mythology from all around the world birds ( crows/ ravens)
sea life (mermaids, sea dragons, tropical fish, octopuses, sea monsters)

bugs ( spinning spiders, Luna moths, cool beetles)

I am into aroma therapy and essential oils. I like to wear rose and spice base scents.
I love flowers and herbs but never meet a tree I didn't like or mushroom. I am not a gardener but live on a large plot of land. It would better to say that I live in a hidden valley on top of a mountain.
colors: one can never have to many crayons in ones box but my home is in colors that relate to the forests of the eastern US.
Period inspired work is cool. Dark is fine. Naughty is nice if not crude ( Betty Page cool- Hustler not).

Dislike- I am not into cute little furry animals or paintings of children with big eyes. I do not like clowns or hobos. I don't like artificial smells. Tea is funny thing with me. I have found that I do not do well with green tea, I don't like chamomile or Hibiscus.
Ok here it goes. I love food but like most Americans have a love hate relationship. I am a sugar junkie and should stay away from it. I love tea & coffee but my doctor says no caffeine so I am way into herbal tea. Spice and flower teas are my favorite. I like meditating on the flower teas when they bloom. I do like coco- never met chocolate that I didn't like. I am always looking for ancient and old recipes for different religious holidays from all cultures.

I love beads. I admit I am a bit of a bead snob. I don't like plastic beads or most wood beads unless they are hand carved or have a strong religious or ethnic significance. Not into clay beads unless they are ethnic, really old or very unique. I have a collection that would rival many small bead stores and a collection of historic and handmade beads. I Love all things old, ethnic, and unique. I love unusual seed beads in any color. I also use long crimping tubes. I do use flex-wire but not tiger tail. I do like silk thread and beading floss. Cool unusual clasps are always welcome.
