This is number three in a series of page swaps I will be hosting with a nature-theme. When we finish, you should have enough pages to bind into a book. Of course, you are welcome to join at any time in the series! Please keep in mind that for this series I'm thinking more traditional or vintage botanical/animal images, rather than "cutesy" or scrapbooky interpretations.
The theme for this chunky page is butterflies. Designing a page in this style is pretty basic. Layer your main image over "found" paper such as a sheet of music, a dictionary page, ledgers, the cover of a farmer's almanac, or vintage-looking scrapbook papers etc. Embellish your page with relatively realistic or vintage images, stamping, numbers/symbols, postage stamps or cancellation marks, text/found poetry etc. And don't forget to include a 3-D component to make your page "chunky." Finally, you should lightly decorate the back side of your page, and include your contact information.
Future themes might include wildflowers, birds, etc. If you have any topic suggestions, let me know!
