Description:

This swap is for to make a charm that can be used in jewelry or added as an embellishment to other crafts from a soda pop tab..the newer ones that are kind of like a number 8. Make sure first to pound down the sharp edge that sometimes forms on the backside where it was attached to the can.
You can paint it, wrap it with embroidery floss... add beads.. completely cover it with collaged paper or fabric or anything else you can think of to turn it into a charm worthy of being worn with pride. Be sure to put a jump ring on it so that it can be used as a charm.
Try to make sure it is done in such a way that it is durable too. So that it can be worn for years if added to a charm bracelet. You will make 2 for each partner.. and have 5 partners.. so total of 10. they can all be different or you could make them all similar. If we do not get at least 5 people signed up -you will make 2 charms for each swapper. The most will be a total of 10 charms and any you want to make for yourself. So if you want you can start playing now at ideas.

Not sure what you mean by looks like a number 8. Could you post a photo?

Why Continental USA? Postage costs to/from AK and HI are identical if using USPS... Sniff, sniff...

I would like to see a photo or two of these!!??

I had never seen these before but if you go to www.kaboodle.com and search for soda tab - you will see some cool examples.

IF you look also at Etsy.com and search for soda tab or pull ring you will see all kinds of things made from these. I am specifically asking for the charms made from them in this swap but perhaps you will want to make a whole bracelet or even an outfit of chain maile

is there a chance of decreasing the swap partners, and increasinf the number we send to them? I just spent $20 @ the PO sending ATC''s!!!what about 3 for 3 partners maybe??? just a thot.

I totally understand the postage thing. That is why its only a US swap. Unless the charms are really big they should be able to be put in just an envelope with perhaps a bit of padding or with a note card. I will keep in mind your thoughts on future charm swaps. Thank you.

Neat idea. I hope you have more of these, I'd love to have a bracelet full of them made by different swappers!

User6456-thanks! and you are right-these use be low postage, tho they will need some padding. I wish the PO would give me one of their cardboard thingies they check thickness with! I have asked for one, but it was a no go!

3 days late assigning partners. guess ill keep my for myself.

I am sorry about the lateness in assigning. My 22 year old nephew died suddenly and this was last thing on my mind.
