Description:

Many of us girls have been rearranging and cleaning our craft areas- me included. In doing so, I have come across items I completely forgot I had! Although some make me wonder what I was thinking when I got 'em, others have stopped my cleaning short because I wanted to try them out again. Thus is born this months challenge...

In addition to any current products and techniques that you are using, you must incorporate at least TWO of the following on your ATC (standard measurements apply).

chalks

shaped scissors

outdated/ugly paper (dig down deep in your stash...have fun with this one! and be creative!)

use a TOOL that you haven't used in a LONG time- think circle cutters, paper crimpers, old school punches....etc. (you be the judge but play fair and make it something that has been collecting dust in your craft room for a while)- don't use eyelet setter if you are also using the option below for eyelets though

hand writing (remember when we didn't have so many stamps?)

texture plates (not embossing folders)

magic mesh

lots of matting! like triple or more!

old school stickers

eyelets

old school foam stamps

So there you have it.... Are you up for this challenge? I am curious to see if you will stick with the Tim Holtz style while using old school products, OR if you will create something completely different.

Hey, I like eyelets, don't be dissin' my eyelets. (wait, is the term dissin' a blast from the past too? How about this, don't be hatin' on my eyelets.)

I am pleased to say that I can't join this one because the only thing I have on the list is eyelets! And I'm with @crescendo on this one! Eyelets are awesome! ;-)

haha....actually to both of you I agree that I have noticed this group using more eyelets than else where- maybe they are making a comeback?

@zoe ...I would be happy to add other things or even a "wild" so that you could pick something "old" to use (I would hate to see someone not participate bc I didn't have enough options) I thought when I included handwriting, and matting that I would be able to include everyone...and even "old" paper for that matter! lol Let me know...

Speaking of out-date papers, check out what this person did. I am totally impressed and plan to play with her idea.

@philly that is an awesome link and exactly what I was referring to!! I actually have one of those papers (the roses) and one VERY similar to the pastel squares. I was surprised at how great they looked in the after photos! Hopefully this will inspire others to join!?

That pastel squares Easter paper looks like some I have from a cutesie scrapbook kit I bought off QVC about ten years ago (which I never used). Hmm, I don't have texture fades, maybe I could go take a rubbing off some tree bark! Wait, I think I have one of those old school texture roller thingies that you feed the paper through and turn the crank, that actually does those exact concentric circles! Who knew!

@crescendo ..that would work! As with any swap I host it is not quite so much about sticking to the "rules" as it is about the spirit of the swap! Would love to see you join in
