Description:

this is for all of us who have tons of scrapbooking items and still need more.

for this swap, you don't need to buy anything new, just make sure that it's in awesome condition.

send your partner one of each of these catagories. please try to send unique items (no bland silver brads or regular hole punches). the whole premise is to get rid of good items you're not going to use to someone who could use them.

*8 brads/eyelets *2-3 3d stickers *a sheet of alphabet stickers *a pair of decorative scissors or hole punches *3 items that don't quite fit the above catagories

please, aim for hearts! if your partner goes above and beyond the list up there, please give them a heart.

no newbies and since i want this to be a cheap swap, US only.

I love this swap, I'm just in way over my head for January... if you host this swap again I'll join then.

I am just getting into swapping, mostly for the ATCs and item swaps, and the first thing I did was dig out my old scrapbooking supplies.

When I was looking through the list for this swap, I realized I do have some unloved items -- they are in good condition, it's just that my style has changed.

I could use some clarification tho' --

1) Are brads the little paper fasteners that have two "legs"? The kind of thing we used to use, to allow Rudolph's ears to move, back in grade school? (The modern ones are much prettier.)

2) Can someone fill me in on how eyelets work? I have seem a tool to attach them in the stores, but no matching eyelets. (The regular eyelets in the sewing section are too big for the tools I saw.)

3) Would it be ok if some of the "3 items that don't quite fit the above catagories" are different versions of the required items? Like extra scissors, for example?

Sorry for all the questions. I just want to make sure I am a good swap partner.

renae, i appreciate you asking!

1) brads are the things with two legs (though i have had some with more).

2) eyelets are set after a hole is punched in the paper, you use a tool to hold it in place, then an eyelet hammer to set it. i recommend getting the individual tools versus one of the ones that does all of the setting itself (those tend to tear the paper or not set them well in my experience).

3) i would be okay with it, just make sure they are in great condition and somewhat unique. i don't want 20 brad to count as those extra items. for that, i would recommend checking out your partner's profile or e- mail them asking what kind of things they like)

Quick question, do you mean the stickers have to have texture to them or do they need to be some kind of object with a sticky back. I have loads of embossed/raised stickers, and puffy stickers and glittered stickers so I'm just wondering if any of those things are what you are talking about here.

Can't wait to be paired up! I'm really taking inventory of my scrap supplies so this is perfect timing!

c-freak (heehee), anything raised enough that would be excluded from hobby lobby's sales on stickers.

i think puffy/texture stickers would work. but, please, think of really fun items that you just won't use. objects with a sticky back could fall into the misc catagory.

i'm looking forward to this swap!

I still haven't received anything from ninjaprincess, how long should I continue to wait before leaving a rating?
