Description:

By request of one of our newest wonderful hookers: @FabricsandFlowers we are starting a new monthly swap for flowers. I have checked the net and there are TONS of lovely patterns out there. The problem will be trying to decide on which one to use!

September's birthstone is Saphire (ohhhhh so pretty!) and the colors for the month are Deep Blue and Indigo. What we are going to do is crochet up 9 of these little wonders and send 3 to 3 different swappers.

The rules are: 3 flowers to 3 swappers. The MAIN color is one of the 3 listed above. Any layers, embellishments (buttons, beads, etc) can be of a different color.

This one will have a little bit of a short deadline because I want to fit this month in, the next months will be up soon so we can send more in the beginning to middle of the month instead of the end.

Hope you all join in in the fun! I am thinking that after a bit of these swaps there may be a throw in the works where we can make crocheted squares to swap around and put our flowers on!

Great swap idea! I already started working on mine and I have a question---should we leave the tails on so they can be used to fasten, or weave them in so that the flowers will look 'finished'?

Thanks!

I vote for weaving them in. I too want the finished look. Good question!

Dang I'm an idiot, I forgot to opt in for this swap. :( I'm so sad I missed it.

Thanks, I will weave my ends in then!

I had never crocheted flowers before, but need a few for some hats I made. I must say I completely enjoyed this swap, and these little things are addictive. Make me stop making them, they are multiplying!
