I have recently moved to a VERY remote location, and have serious mail issues. Mail is being returned to me for no reason, and then I have to resend it. Please communicate with me prior to giving me a low rating. I would do the same for you.
I am a scrapbooker, quilter, crocheter, sewer, and almost anything else that can be classified as a craft.
My favorite color is red. However, I have several hundred "second favorite" colors. The only colors I have not been crazy about from time to time were purple and orange, but I've grown to love those, too. I love bright colors, soft colors, crazy color combinations, big wild prints, subtle tiny prints. Love black (and white). So....colors. Love 'em.
I love chocolate (doesn't everyone?). I am currently in a quilting mode, but will swing back to scrapbooking any minute now. I typically do one or the other until I'm bored and then switch back.
We have always lived in two places -- Las Vegas and Minnesota. We spent last school year with too much time in Nevada, but now the kids will be in school in Minnesota this Fall. We will be in our 120-year-old farm in Minnesota, hoping to minimize our time in Las Vegas. My older daughter is starting college and my younger one is starting high school.
I have been married for 23 years.
Our family lives for volleyball. Both of the girls play, playing school ball in the Fall and club ball in the Spring, then have camps and other volleyball training in the Summer.
I also love to read (almost anything), and really enjoy audiobooks. I have one of the oldest iPods ever made, and no song has ever been on it.......just books. I also try to read the classics online (the kind they email you a part of every morning so you read at your own pace). I love the Harry Potter series, and the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit books, and The Hunger Games. My favorite current authors are Stephen King and John Grisham.
I design quilts (paper pieced and traditional). I have a long-arm quilting machine that I am trying to get the courage to use more often. All crafts interest me, and there are few I haven't tried or still do. My themes for all of my crafts are all over the place. The old farm creates an interest in very traditional and country styles. The kids keep me bright and contemporary.
We focus on education and volleyball. I also LOVE to cook and make gifts for people.
As far as what I would enjoy in a swap, I can't think of anything that wouldn't please me. There is no color or food I don't like. There is no craft I don't enjoy. There is no style that doesn't please me (maybe rap music). I am very easy to please. Since I enjoy seeing what other people find interesting, my suggestion is to send me something you would like--and I bet I will, too.
I like anything Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, or Dr. Who.
