I'm CocoChic on TIB and Cakewalk Queen on Flickr and PP. :)
I'm a 22 year old living in the Dallas area with my husband and our cocker spaniel puppy, Daisy. I work at a local Aveda salon in guest services.
Fashion and beauty are two huge things in my life. I'm slightly obsessed and my dream job is to be a wardrobe stylist. I think I was secretly born in Barney's and I've just been told I was born in the hospital.
I love Blythe! I guess I didn't have enough dolls growing up so I'm getting them now. Have a total of 5 girls right now and I love every single one of them.
Likes: Blythe, kawaii fabrics, dresses, mod, rement.
My favorite colors are orange, violet, and lime green. They're so vibrant and full of life. I love modern prints, and design but bright splashes of color are a must!
Dislikes: Country. Keep the gingam and straw, I want streamlined! ;)
I sew for my dolls but I'm not that great yet. However, since practice makes perfect, I love shopping for new fabrics to play with.
I love doing crafty things. Whether it's an Ikea hack or sprucing up something in my house that's gotten a little dull, I'm a crafter a heart.
I also learned to knit this winter from my MIL and I'm loving it so far! I can't seem to crochet for the life of me. I always try to hold the hook at the very end like it's a knitting needle.
Just about anything except for rap and country. No Doubt is my absolute favorite and I can't wait for their new album to be released! Right now, I'm really loving the bands East Hundred, Snow Patrol, Carolina Liar, and Kings of Leon. Weezer is always good for fun music.
I also really love showtunes. Mostly because I love musicals but the music just makes me want to dance! This means that Glee has become one of my favorite shows. :D
I pretty much love it all. I mostly watch comedies but I think I love every genre. Good horror movies are hard to find but when I do, it's such an adrenaline rush! Drama is always good if I'm in the mood to cry or feeling introspective. Action movies are a much needed part of my movie diet. Nothing like some big explosions and fights! Thrillers are great and I love being on the edge of my seat. I'm a big Hitchcock fan. And then there's RomComs. I have a love/hate relationship with these. I can't watch too many or I'll start to be sick. ;)
and then there are musicals!
I watch so much tv that I'm just going to list the shows I have on my dvr.
Glee, Community, House, Gossip Girl (yes, my guilty pleasure), Chuck, The Big Bang Theory, NCIS, Criminal Minds, Top Chef, Family Guy, American Idol, Fringe, Ugly Betty, The Soup, The Mentalist, Ghost Hunters, Lie to Me, and any History or Discovery show that seems to be interesting. Which is just about anything on killers (love the psychology), WWII, presidential conspiracies, medical mysteries.
See, now you're sorry you asked!
Ah, books. My favorite way to spend an afternoon. I've been a huge reader ever since I was a kid. I love how written words can transport you to a place that you imagine but never looks quite the same to everybody else.
Agatha Christie is my favorite author, by far. I can reread her books over and over again. Hercule Poirot has to be one of the best characters ever created. I've also become a big fan of Twilight and the Gemma Doyle series.
As much as RomComs drive me crazy, I'm a huge sucker for Chick Lit. I have no shame in that.
I also love thrillers that incorporate history. Steve Berry is my current favorite in that category.
