To my swapper partners, I always rate, usually the day I receive it, otherwise I might forget
If you are due to send a swap to me and its going to be late, please notify me. Its only common courtesy.
I will always notify you if I am running behind on getting something out.
I do have cats, if you are allergic and you say so in your profile, I promise not to let them help me with your gifts.
I'm a 50+ SFNM living in Tulsa, where I have lived all of my life. I am on disability due to a rare genetic disease . I live with my 4 cats inside and 2 strays that live outside. I also feed, spay and neuter many more strays that show up. I love watching and feeding the birds in my backyard. I love flowers, but never know if they are going to come up from one year to another. I can grow catnip well, so if you have kitties and list it in your profiles, you may just get some for them! I am always trying to build or repair something around the house-seems as tho its always needing attention (if I don't do it, who will?)
I help with cat rescue groups, finding homes for strays. Adopt from a rescue group, Humane society or your local animal shelter. Please spay/neuter your pets.
I'm a craftaholic, there aren't many things that I haven't tried over the years-just look in my closet! Any one want to finish some?
I LOVE fabric!!!!!!! I am a fabriholic! I collect cat fabric in particular, but have 38 totes of other fabric to attest to my addiction.
I collect Laurel Burch, I have quite a collection of her cat objects from fabric to earrings. Anyone who sends me anything from her collections will be my friend forever!
I love and collect 50's-70's vintage cotton fabrics, vintage buttons, pincushions and sewing items, needlebooks and vintage 50's, kitchen stuff! I collect it anytime I find it. I especially fond of the aqua color. Aprons, table cloths, linens, & kitchen gadgets, usually finding them at estate sales, thrift stores, garage sales.
I am a dumpster diver! I love digging in other peoples trash and making something unique from it!
I love bright colors! Lime green, pinks, aqua, purple, blues, etc. Not many colors that I don't like, unless its boring browns/beiges. I love polka dots, stripes, big flowers, paisleys and novelty fabrics.
I have a cat collection consisting of at least 500 pieces, not counting the fabric or the real ones!
I prefer quality over quanity. I would rather have one item that you have handmade with thought and care, than a box of paper dollar store junk. I don't do scrapbooking or papercrafting of any kind, other than the occasional card, so I don't need these items. I do use cat stickers only, to put on packaging and notes.
I have many, there isn't much I haven't done once. Since joining Swap-bot I have tried matchbooks, whimsy jars, amigurumi, felted pincushions and animals and gotten back into crocheting.
I love to buy old wool sweaters and wash them in the washing machine and felt them then make purses, needlebooks, mittens, pincushions, little animals just to name a few. I have too much wool gathered up, so if you want to trade for some, let me know.
Sewing-I learned to sew when I was 6 years old. I pick it back up when I have something interesting I want to make like sewing for my great nieces, home deco, making bags and purses and beds for my kitties and I love making aprons, I also collect vintage ones.
I am a fabriholic, I love cotton fabrics. I love going into quilt stores, just for a feel! I'm sure some of you know what I'm talking about!
Crocheting-I have just started doing this again, since joining Swap-bot. I use cotton yarns to make dishcloths, wool yarns, to felt with and make various craft items. I use some acrylics for amigurumis. I love crocheting yarn on flip-flops for my friends (anyone want a pair?)
Beading-I really got into this last year and spent lots on beads, now I'm bored with it. Need beads or books?
Cards-I dilly-dally on card making usually making holiday cards with fabric. I love making fabric postcards.
Ribbons-Use them to make hairbow for my great nieces. I have 4 big totes of it so you might end up with it in your swaps!
Wool felting-I just tried this last winter, when I found a cute cat pattern to make a tiny animal. I have sent her to Europe in a swap, so I need to make another one for me or if you make them, I would love to trade for one of yours. Pm me.
I love receiving handmade items, I know the time it takes to make things, so I appreciate the effort. I would love you forever for a handmade kitty of some kind!
I have probably listed most already, but here goes.
I am getting away from most swaps, unless they are for fabric and sewing related, preferring to just grant wishes and private swaps. So if you see something here that might interest you, please PM me and we will go from there.
Chocolate-milk, white, & semi-sweet Love nuts in it, but don't care for the fruits.
Tea-I drink it daily, mostly just Luzianne, unless its winter then I drink hot teas. I like Earl Grey or almond flavors.
Cats! Can't get enough of them, real or in pics. I actually love all animals, nothing cuter than a baby animal.
Fabric! Just in case you missed it! 100% Cotton, quilt shop quality, if possible. I like the fabrics of Amy Butler, Laurel Burch, Michael Miller, April Cornell, etc. Love bright colors, love the color combinations that are popular at the moment, like aqua/lime, pink/lime, black/white, pink/orange,& pink/black. Most any pink or lime are great. I like batiks also. Love paisleys, polka dots, stripes, big flowers.
I love Halloween, vintage and modern especially the black cats! Love old halloween postcards and the old cut outs. Any of these would get you tons of kisses!
I make Morsbags and give them away, if this would interest you, let me know. I'm trying to rid the world of plastic bags, one at a time!
I'm really easy to please and try to really please everyone I swap with, I do read your profiles and sometimes when they don't give enough info, I worry as to what you might or might not like. Fill out your profiles, please.
No allergies, except to cigarette smoke-I would appreciate not receiving items that smell like it-I have had to throw away swaps, because of it.
Boring brown/beiges, muted colors.
I detest animal cruelty and anyone that does it! I chose to speak for those that can't speak for themselves.
I don't like licorice, coffee and jalepenos.
Since I do many of these, I thought I would list a few likes and dislikes, so you don't have to read the whole profile.
I love the vintage fabrics, aprons and tablecloths. I have started collecting them whenever I can find them, I also am picking up any 50's-80's kitchen gadgets and dishes, I especially love the aqua/white 50's pyrex dishes, so anything you find or make from anything in this range, I'm sure I would LOVE.
My kitchen is white, so liven it up for me! I have many different accent items of different colors, so anything goes!
I prefer a full apron, but if swapping a vintage apron, half is OK, since full are harder to come by. I love to re-make vintage aprons by making a pattern off of one, then making it.
I love big prints, flowers, paisleys and 50's prints. But that shouldn't discourage you from chosing something else, if you think I would like it.
I don't care for browns, tans, beiges, please, go wild with color, the louder the better. I do love pastels, too.
The "girls" are rather large, so if its fitted, make room for them, probably a X-large would work, if not fitted, a large will work.
It doesn't matter if the neck has ties or if it goes over the head, I like both. I love pockets on them!
