Seeing as how you are "squeamish" I would like to forwarn you that Chuck Pahalniuk writes very graphic, very gruesome novels. V.C. Andrews is a great author, most of her books are more than mildly "adult" but they are all very good.

I applaud you for following your dreams in working with kids, that's something I hope to do in the future! I did find it funny a pre-school teacher hates glitter, but glitter is the bad rash of the craft world! It gets everywhere!! You are well traveled! I am jealous of the places you've been and I must tell you that Australia and New Zealand are both awesome places and I wish you luck on getting to both of them!
