LET THOSE WHOM YOU LOVE KNOW THAT YOU LOVE THEM PLEASE.... LIFE IS WAY TOO SHORT!!!!
Hi, living in Outback Australia means that I have to live with slow postage... sorry... If I tell you something has been sent, then I have sent it, Please be patient, thank you!
I am 59 years old this year (2018) and proud of it, my husband Kyle and I are 'empty-nesters' now - I have 4 adult children and four - soon to be five AMAZING Grandchildren!
We live 15 kilometres away fom Tara, a tiny little town that holds Camel Races once a year - its claim to fame I think LOL We moved here in February 2018 - in the middle of that bad heat wave, when it was 47 degrees - and we had no water, no electricity - but we were lucky to have a 25 foot caravan to sleep in... there wasn't much sleep in the first few weeks! Here it is April, and we still dont have electricity - but we have a good generator and satellite NBN, and we harvest our washing water and buy the drinking water... town water isnt potable! We live on a magnificent 35 acres (12.99Ha) and we cannot drill a bore, because of the coal gas seam right under us :/ We love it out here - quiet when the generator is off LOL
If you want to know anything, please ask :)
My tastes in music are quite eclectic... I have loved the Beatles more than the Rolling Stones all my life, but now that I am older and can choose for myself what I want to listen to (as opposed to what others want to hear around me), I lean towards heavy metal, classical, eastern (and combinations of all of them). Favourite music includes the artists:
. Trans Siberian Orchestra
. Penguin Cafe Orchestra
. The Tea Party
. Jimmy Barnes
. Matchbox Twenty
I am not at all a fan of country music except for a very select few (Garth Brooks as Chris Gaines, Linda Ronstadt)
I am also not a fan of rap and hip hop music, and the 'new' music that is around in the top 40, it just leaves me cold.
I enjoy reading, but don't do it often enough!
Just finishing Salvation Creek by Susan Duncan - a great read - and before that, I read the next book in line from the same author - The House at Salvation Creek - also a terrific read. Yes, back to front - my mother in law gave me the first book, and then I really wanted to follow it up :)
Ahhh the movies... I went to see The Hobbit the other day, and Life of Pi... I would strongly recommend The Hobbit but Life of Pi was far too drawn out (even though the scenery was quite magnificent), I wouldn't pay to see that again.
My husband and I don't watch television, so the internet and movies are what we 'do'.
I do like a good sappy, tear jerking movie.. but I also like action and horror! Eclectic again :p
My favourite movie has to be Red Dog I think... there are many good movies, but this one caught my complete attention the whole way though and made me want to visit the area... second favourite is The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel... GREAT acting and brilliant locale - again making me want to visit!
In the horror category... The Descent has to be the scariest I have seen... I don't like movies that centre around the occult that is a different category again.
So that is about it.
I am a pretty ordinary person really.... just being happy and living day to day in an unmaterialistic way...
I AM an artist, not a 'crafts-person' - so I skipped the craft section and also, as I said before, I don't watch television...
Also, I am NOT a religious person... I lean towards Buddhism if 'any' religion is where I must lean... but prefer Secular Humanism and I believe firmly in keeping good values, doing the right thing, being honest and humble.
I do think that Karma is real as well.
I hope you have enjoyed reading about me... good luck with your swaps!!
. religious items or themes in works
. childrens items
. 'adult' content (unless it is necessary, I am no prude, but erotic art and that kind of genre must be done well - I hope you understand)
. food or sweets
. anything to do with SNAKES or FROGS (hate them)
. I HATE GLITTER AND SEQUINS so please.. please dont use them on your artworks.. thank you so much.
I have been asked to put in a couple of my favourite things.. so here goes...
. I love the colour BLUE and Eucalyptus Green!
. I thoroughly enjoy collecting ART and ATC's
. I am passionate about SPIDERS - yes.. I know most people arent.. but I am... they are the ultimate symbol of femininity
