About Me

I love crafts...especially cross-stitch, pincushions, and crochet. My latest cross-stitch craze is Asian themed cross-stitch patterns. I'm a member of a local cross stitch group and a couple of crochet groups, and I love swaps. Other crafts I like are ATCs and paper crafts. I also like to do recycle, alter, and embellishment crafts. I really enjoy receiving something handmade...It's great to see someone's creativity.

WHAT ARE SOME OF MY FAVORITE THINGS?

MY FAVORITE THINGS TO COLLECT... Asian/Japanese items, strawberry themed items, and beach/coastal items.

MY FAVORITE COLORS are...caribbean ocean blues/turquoise, orange, and shabby pinks.

MY FAVORITE CANDIES...Gummie candies, Werther's carmel hard candy, strawberry licorice, and Hi Chews. My favorite candy flavors are tropical flavors - banana, coconut, pineapple, strawberry, peach, sour apple, key lime, orange, lemon...chocolate and carmel too!

MY FAVORITE SNACKS...Pocky by Glico, Hello Panda Cookies by Meiji, and Fortune Cookies.

PERSONAL PRODUCTS...Not a big make-up fan, but I love frosted lip gloss and frosted nail polish. I don't like bath products...too risky for irritation.

JEWELRY/ACCESSORIES...I am a silver jewelry/accessory type person...and I love pearls and Asian theme jewelry.

BEVERAGES...I love tea (hot and iced), but I do not like coffee.

Favorite Music

Tropical, caribbean, steel band, reggae, Jimmy Buffet, nature type, and Zen.

Favorite Television

All of the CSIs, Law and Order, Criminal Minds, Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Chicago Med, Animal Planet, HGTV, Food Network, and Lifetime.

Favorite Books

I love to read cross-stitch mysteries. My favorite craft books to read are related to cross-stitch, pincushions and ATCs. My favorite magazines are related to cross-stitch, quilting/sewing, and papercrafts and mixed media.

Comment: I LOVE that you put the Monkey on a bag! The silhouette is cute and I love hoe the monkey is holding the 2016 :). (I still haven't finished the goat bag for me from a year ago, lol. My goat is about 25% stitched-and I have the same green bag for it. Maybe I'll finish it by 2027 for fire ram, lol). Thanks so much for all the crafting goodies and Monkey Goodies! Thanks for the Monkey red envelopes-the Asian store I went to didn't have the envelopes! They had all sorts of decorations but no envelopes-odd! Thanks for joining and have a monkey of a year!
Response: You are welcome. I really enjoyed the swap again this year and would have loved to send more. I found those envelopes at a small Asian gift shop near me and that was all she had. The larger market in my area doesn't have anything yet. Ugh! I'm glad you liked what I did find theme-wise elsewhere though. I might go back later this week to see what they put out. If your store doesn't end up getting the red envies let me know because the store I get mine at (but didn't go to yet) usually has a large variety and I can easily pop some into the mail for you
