About Me

I lived three quarters of my life in the beautiful state of Alaska, so I'm a outdoors girl. I fish [for BIG ones, NOT foot longs], shoot pigeons [the clay type :D], take woods walks, and watch animals be animals. :] I'm afraid of almost nothing. I like to get muddy/dirty/messy/paintcovered; I love running around in the pouring rain. I'm always ready to take a road trip.

At the same time, I enjoy dressing up, experimenting with make up and being a girl. I like bright colours, "bling", mostly anything shiny. Here soon hopefully I'll have my cosmetologist's license and I really want to specialize in esthetics and make up. I also would like to go to school for massage therapy, but that's the future.

I like to mess around with pastels [oil & chalk], be surrounded by my closest friends, go for destination-less drives, be in/on/around/near water, and listen to reggae while I do art.

I am a Christian but I collect religious objects of other faiths such as rosaries, Buddhas, etc. They're meaningful works of art to me.

I would NOT like anything too cutesy or anything Disney or anything cartoon based. I'm not a fan of anything that becomes horribly popular. My tastes run more toward the weird, offbeat kind of art. Case in point: I really really loved the Twilight series until it became a movie, now I hate it with a passion.

Things I Love

PLACES:

The ocean, anything and everything that has to do with it. I could spend hours/days/weeks on the beach just looking around, picking up "trash", taking pictures, etc..

I love being cozied up in winter sitting next to a window with a good book and a delicious cup of cocoa.

I haven't done much of it, but I would lovelovelove to TRAVEL. I love experiencing new things and being immersed in different cultures. The top places I will see in my life: Ireland, Scotland, England, Jamaica, Chile, France, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Greece, Israel, Japan, and Russia, Australia, New Zealand, and Egypt. :]

COLOURS:

Turquoise, aquamarine, cobalt, charcoal, purple, and any shade of green! I also love the combination of Jamaican colours: red, green, and yellow.

MISC:

Coffee, cocoa, makeup, nail polish, spending money, cleaning the house, winter, autumn and all the festivals that come with it, cemeteries, reading and writing, the truly macabre, candles, herbal teas, baking goodies, LILLIES, seashells & beach "trash", Halloween, St. Patick's Day, Day of the Dead, abstract paintings, taking pictures and the photos themselves, ravens, toast with hot sauce, and my big shaggy dog.

Favorite Music

Music is a big part of my life. I have a very eclectic, very extensive taste in music. These are my favourite favourites [in no order]:

Scissor Sisters, Bob Marley!!, David Bowie, Coldplay, Collective Soul!!, Nasio, Beethoven, The Presidents Of The United States Of America, Dead Can Dance, Hollywood Undead, Queen, The Clancy Brothers, MJ [rip], New Grass Revival, Keane, Blue October, Kerli Koiv, The Pink Spiders, Waylon Jennings, Disturbed, Korn,

Things I Would Like To Recieve

  • Any objects found on the beach! Shells, sea glass, driftwood, floats, neat and different trash that's been floating around for awhile. :] Unfortunately I now live in a landlocked state and don't have access to any beaches.

  • A handmade, personalized bookmark. I'm in desperate need of a bookmark. Just ask my library, they're tired of my dogeared pages too.

  • I love little handmade animal stuffies. An example of some that would tickle my fancy: skeleton, any type of big cat, octopus, seastar, seahorse, zebra, giraffe, porcupine, raven/crow, or armadillo. They like to live on my shelf and be my muses. :D

  • Any type of jewelry whether it be a ring, a simple necklace, or even a friendship bracelet.
