i'm a goofy, over-energetic 33 year old web developer/graphic designer girl who has art tantrums almost daily. these include, but are not limited to: altered art, altered books, shadow boxes, altered dolls, journal making, ATCs, mixed media arts, painting, etc. i'm also mama to an amazing four-year-old boy who enjoys art as well (at my last exhibit he had two paintings on display and sold one -- he's a great little artist indeed!).

i have severe multiple personality disorder when it comes to music. love many kinds but hate hiphop, country and smooth jazz. today's favorites: the slits, old 97s, man or astroman, dead can dance, johnny cash and flogging molly (see, told ya -- multiple personality disorder).

love independent and foreign films most often. some favorites in general are: the warrior and the princess, once were warriors, like water for chocolate, hotel rowanda, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind...

i don't really watch t.v. but i do like dexter, six feet under, rome, lost and any sort of forensic or murder type documentary. oh, and the discovery channel.

i typically prefer to do more dark or grungy hues/effects to "girly" colors like pink or purple. i don't like teal for some reason and it disturbs me that i could be so judgmental about a sweet little innocent color. red is my favorite! love red, all hues (but not pink so much). glitter is great when used properly. i tend to lean more towards vintage nudes or asian themes in my art (this week), or abstract. love mayan art, mexican art, celtic art (knotwork!) and non-cutesy things with wings. aliens rock. i've always wanted to make a paper quilt.

oh, and i don't like "pet art" with fluffy kittens or puppies under rainbows or what-have-you but love birds and flowers in my art sometimes. a bit mental, perhaps, but love doing what i do. hope you like it too. :)

nuts (allergic), too much glitter (there is a time and a place for glitter in my opinion -- not truckloads and not for every project), fluffy kittens and puppies under rainbows and crap, cutesy junk, sparkly animated GIFs, egos, art books with gorgeous covers and crap contents, and most of all, people who send you garbage on swap-bot because they are too lazy to put ANY effort into the swap.
