So, the basics, I am college student in my early twenties. I live in northern Alabama; I have lived here all my life. I have a used to have a part time job as a waitress in a restaurant at the airport. I quit my job because my boss was, well there isn’t anything nice I can say about him, and I needed to be able to focus on school. I live with my parents and really enjoy the days I get more mail then they do.

I love flowers, obviously by my username, all kinds, but my absolute favorites are lilies, ranunculus, zinnias, and roses. I colect purses and costume jewlrey, espicaly vintage (or vintage looking) rinestone broches.

My favorite colors are jewel tones, deep purples, silver, and gold.

My home is a melting pot of styles, vintage, romantic, and sort of formal. There is antique wood funtuire, wicker, and some clean modern furntre. I have a lot of romantic art (think monet), vitnage ads (mostly for clothes and assories), and some asian and indian ethic pieces. I love the mendi-style flowers and pasliey designes.

My personal fashion sense is much more casual. I love to were jeans and Crocs. Though I dress them up with bold top. I like to be a liitle girly. Most everything I own has lace, ruffles, or some kind of flower design. I also like bold prints, like poka dots, or art deco patternes.

I’m a plus size girl, but I am tall so I don’t look quite as big. I’m 5’ 10”, that is 1.77 meters if your metric. I’m not going to give you my wieght, let’s just say its over 200 pounds, 90 kgs. If you need my sizes for a swap you can PM me.

I love music, but hate concerts, I know weird right. I am never without my iPod. I listen to it while I drive, while I shop, basically all the time.

Showtunes, I love musicals!

I listen to so many different kinds of music. The groups and artists I like, in no particular order, are: Coldplay, Scott Joplin, Christina Agulara, Linkin Park, Katy Perry, Ingrid Michelson, Enya, Muse, Paramore, My Chemical Romance, The Black Ghosts, Blue Foundation, The Choir Practice, The Mountain Goats, Honeyhoney, The Kills, Pink, Metro Station, and many, many others.

I am slowly but surely becoming a music person, which is kind of a surprise to me. Any time you want to send me music feel free, whether it is just music you like or your own band, I want to hear it.

I love musical, golden age of Hollywood movies, and costume dramas. My mother says I watch movies for the clothes, and to a big extent I do.

Really though, I like any movie with a great story that I can get into. I hate the big action movies and horror/slasher movies that barely have enough plot to hold them together. I like a movie that has character I can get attached to. Mostly I go to movies that have a book attached to them, so I can spend more time with them.

To list a few movies I like are: Pride and Prejudice, Serenity, Imagine Me & You, Saved, Eulogy, Twilight, ‘Mystery, Alaska’, Stardust, Armageddon, Underworld, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Marie Antoinette, Much Ado About Nothing, and A Fish Called Wanda.

I don’t watch all that much on TV.

Pshyc, Project Runway, Pushing Daises, Scrubs, The Office, South Park, The Venture Bros, and my current obsession is Ledged of the Seeker, because I have read the book it is based on.

I also really liked the Tinman mini series that came out last year, and the canceled shows Dark Angel and Firefly.

I love books. I read most genres; I love the classics, fantasy, and sci-fi. I have recently really enjoyed books written by Jane Austin, Terry Goodkind, Stephanie Meyer, Orson Scott Card, and Anne George. I am always looking for a good book to read.

I really prefer fabric crafts: fashion design, sewing, quilting. I also knit and crochet. I am trying to find information on how to make lace.

I like to draw but I really don’t have much of a talent for it outside of designing clothes.

I do some dabbling in scrap booking, but I am barely more than a beginner.

Sewing is the best and my favorite. I love to get new fabrics, plain and patterned cottons, as well as fabric with texture, for making dolls. I make a lot of clothes so I have piles of fashion fabrics, buttons, appliqués, and lace.

I have just discovered ATCs and they are amazing. I have been spending a lot of time making them lately.

My full name is Marlena. My initials are MGM. I also go by the nickname Gigi. I was born in August, so my birthstone is peridot, thought I don’t really care for green.
